Chapter 2307
There was a man and two women. The man was Mario, and the women were
young, looking like they were no older than 20.
Both women were beautiful and elegant. Every gesture they made seemed
noble.
Titus raised his eyebrows, leaned over to Sean, and whispered, "Mr. Lennon, one
of those two women is Millie."
"Okay, come on."
Sean nodded nonchalantly and beckoned Titus to leave.
Sean did not seem interested in Millie, so Titus did not stay.
The four people passed by Mario and the women. Mario apologized to them and
said, "I'm sorry for not entertaining you this time. I'l treat you next time!"
"Mr. Winters, you're too kind. Goodbye."
Sean waved his hand and said with a smile.
Watching Sean and the rest walk away, the young woman next to Mario looked
slightly interested.
"Uncle Mario, who are these people? Why are you so polite to them?"
The woman asked with a smile.
The woman's identity was self-evident when she called
Mario "Uncle". She was none other than Millie, the mayor's daughter.
Mario answered with a smile, "The men and women walking in front are Titus
Lake and Winnie Lake from the Lake family's second and third branches.
"As for those two in the back, the young man's name is Sean Lennon. He's the
owner of Optimus Security Services and complicated!
"I don't know the other one, but he looks like Mr. Lennon's bodyguard.”
Mario explained briefly about Sean's relationship with the Carver family, the
Davis family, and the Quartz family as well as their feud with the Lake family.
Millie nodded thoughtfully and said with a smile, "Mr.
Lennon is indeed complicated.”
"Alright, Uncle Mario. We gotta go!"
As they spoke, they arrived at the hotel entrance.
The young woman next to Millie, who had been quiet, went to the parking lot,
drove a Maybach over, and drove Millie out as they left Greenview Hotel.
"This girl has grown so big after not seeing her for years."
Mario said with a smile as he watched the Maybach leave.
Then, his expression changed slightly as he whispered," Now that Millie is back,
it's time for me to talk to Fabian."
In the car, Millie said to the woman driving, "Cynthia, can you stop pulling such a
long face? You're so pretty. It's a shame you look so icy."
"Miss, there's nothing shameful about my face. My duty is to protect you."
Cynthia replied without looking back.
Seeing her reaction, Millie sighed and said with some helplessness, "I told you
we're sisters when we were sent abroad together!
"I never thought of you as an outsider. During our years abroad, you're my only
friend and family."
Cynthia's hands on the steering wheel trembled slightly, but she instantly
regained her usual icy composure.
"Oh, you're so stubborn!"
Millie sighed and said, "I've never been to a bar. Why don't we check one out
tonight?"
"No! Mr. Winters said you must go home immediately after dinner!"
With a stern look, Cynthia added, "Places like bars are so chaotic that I can't
protect you in time if anything happens!"
Millie looked a little disappointed when she heard that.
The car was quiet. After a while, Cynthia's voice rang again." Miss, we can only
be there for half an hour. We'll go home once the time's up."
Cynthia changed her mind when she saw the disappointment on Millie's face in
the rearview mirror.
