Chapter 2351
Many people looked at Curtis, but Curtis looked over at those people and
shouted.
He did not care whether they were strong. As the heir of the Lake family, even if
he stood here and let these people beat him, no one dared to do anything to him.
Zion and Wren, standing next to Kennedy, had a complicated look in their eyes.
Khalid, who was sitting on the floor, had come to his senses and gazed at Knox,
who was on stage.
Then, he got up slowly, but his legs were still shaking.
"Old Master Lake, I quit Lake Security Services. I'll pay you back every penny
you gave me.
Tm not qualified for a position in Lake Security Services!"
Khalid said, looking at Kennedy.
Curtis raised his eyebrows, looked coldly at Khalid, and said darkly, "You want to
quit? Have you considered the consequences?
"The Lake family spent so much money to hire you. Do you think you can just
leave?
"You must know that you're a dog. I'll give you a chance to take back what you
just said. I can pretend that this never happened!"
Kennedy frowned slightly, but he said nothing, obviously acquiescing to what
Curtis said.
Khalid's expression changed, knowing Curtis was threatening him.
With the Lake family's status in Ocean City, Curtis could make him, the second
strongest in Ocean City's security industry, miserable if Curtis really wanted to
pick on him.
"Stop fighting. There will be plenty of chances.
"I think you should focus on yourself."
Daniel said, looking at Knox, who was about to come up to him.
Knox also heard Khalid and Curtis conversation, and he was no longer
interested in competing with Daniel.
Stopping, Knox turned around and looked at Khalid with a hint of expectation.
Perhaps he was hoping that Khalid would insist on quitting Lake Security
Services despite threats from the Lake family.
It was as if he was expecting something else.
"Mr. Lake, even if the Lake family wants to kill me, I will still quit Lake Security
Services."
Khalid sighed, but his voice was determined.
Hearing this, Kennedy's brow furrowed even more.
Curtis instantly got up like an angry cat as he stared coldly at Knox.
He said, "Have you thought it through? Do you want to betray the Lake family?"
"Mr. Lake, it's not a betrayal. It's just that I don't think I'm good enough for Lake
Security Services and certainly not the Lake family."
Khalid's eyes became determined as he looked Curtis in the eye without fear and
spoke.
Curtis glanced coldly at Khalid before turning to look at Wren and Zion and
saying indifferently, "Are you two deaf? Didn't you hear that this guy is going to
betray the Lake family?
"Take him down, and cripple his limbs!"
Khalid relied on his fighting skills to make a living. Crippling his limbs was
equivalent to cutting off his life, which showed how ruthless Curtis’ heart was.
Wren and Zion had complicated looks on their faces as they looked at Curtis and
then Khalid.
"I don't want to be a dog, let alone be looked down upon.”
Khalid said faintly when Wren and Zion looked at him.
His face was calm. There was no panic in his eyes; there was only determination.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Lake, but I don't want to be a dog either."
Wren withdrew his gaze, his voice solemn.
