Chapter 2547

Even though it was late at night in Lake Residence, it was still brightly lit.

All members of the Lake family's first branch gathered at Lake Residence today.
There were three tables with various expensive dishes on them set up in the
garden.

Kennedy ushered Max into the compound and let him in the main seat.

After Max was seated, the rest of the Lake family took their seats.

"Mr. Max Lake, did Mr. Blaze Lake say anything about my situation?" Kennedy
whispered as he sat next to Max. He looked nervous as if he was worried about
the answer Max was about to give.

Other dignitaries in Ocean City would be shocked if they saw this. They would
not believe that the head of the Lake family would treat a young man like that.
Max glanced at him and answered with a smile, "Don't worry. Blaze speaks well
of you and doesn't have a problem with you because of this."

The tension on Kennedy's face instantly dissipated and was replaced by a smile.
He was the head of the Lake family in Ocean City because of Blaze.

If the Blaze had a problem with him because of Sean, he would lose his position
as the head of the Lake family in Ocean City.

It was why he looked relieved after hearing Max's answer.

"Mr. Max Lake, here's a toast to you!" Curtis sitting in a wheelchair held up his
glass and said to Max as he endured his pain.

Max glanced at Curtis and raised his glass to motion to him before finishing it.
After putting down his glass, Max looked at Curtis and said, "Did Sean make you
this way?"

When Max asked about his injury, Curtis’ eyes were immediately filled with anger
and deep hatred.

Curtis gritted his teeth and said, "Mr. Max Lake, to be honest, besides Sean,
most of my injuries were caused by that damn Titus!" "Titus? The Lake family's
second branch? Aaron's son?" Max asked as he raised his eyebrows.

Curtis immediately nodded and said solemnly, "Mr. Max Lake, you might not
know that the second and third branches betrayed US and joined hands with
Sean to attack us! Sean probably has access to Reason Group's client
information because the second and third branches meddled!"

Max nodded slightly in reply before saying with a chuckle, "Don't worry. If nothing
happens, you'll be avenged tonight." "What do you mean by that, Mr. Max Lake?"
Kennedy asked immediately.

Max did not hold back either. He replied with a smile, "When I left Janestown,
Blaze had assigned missions to Darkness. Everyone around Sean in Ocean City
is the target! Titus alone should not survive tonight. However, the other families
are quite influential, so we probably can't do much to them."
