"That's enough! Shut up, Titus!" Kennedy bellowed at Titus with an angry look.
Titus raised his eyebrows and answered with a sneer, "Uncle Kennedy, is that
how you talk to your nephew? Besides, won't I lose my dignity if I shut up
because you tell me to?"

Titus then looked sideways at Aaron, raised his eyebrows, and asked, "Am I
right, Dad?"

"Yeah, no matter how powerful Kennedy is, he can't touch the second branch!"
Aaron said, playing along.

The Lake family's second and third branches and Kennedy's family were already
openly rebelling, so Aaron would not give Kennedy any face.

Looking at the father and son echoing each other, Kennedy trembled with anger.
"Aaron! Trenton! Have you two forgotten that you're part of the Lake family? You
allied with outsiders to attack Reason Group. Do you want to bring down the
Lake family so much?" Kennedy snarled, casting a grim glance over Aaron and
Trenton.

Aaron smiled and nodded, saying, "Kennedy, Trenton, and I have been dreaming
about bringing you down all these years. People often say that you dream what's
always on your mind. Don't you think we want to bring you down? You're right.
You're the one who will be brought down, not the Lake family. Even if we don't
have Reason Group, we still have Evergreen Group!"

Trenton also added, "Kennedy, you should have known better. Look at how you
treated US all those years ago when you were made the head of the Lake family.
If Aaron and I hadn't worked together, you would have

crushed US, wouldn't you?"

Kennedy fell strangely silent when he heard their remarks. He had become the
head of the Lake family a few years back and done everything he could to keep
his younger brothers, Aaron and Trenton, from trying to take his place.

The three were originally a family, but Kennedy forcibly split the three brothers
into three branches to secure his position as the head of the Lake family.

That was how the Lake family's three branches came to be. It was all thanks to
Kennedy.

Kennedy's idea was a good one-to separate Aaron and Trenton from the Lake
family so that Kennedy would be the head of the Lake family, and his position as
the head of the Lake family would no longer be a concern.

However, he never expected his two younger brothers to secretly establish
Evergreen Group, which was no less powerful than Reason Group. When the
two brothers joined forces, there was nothing Kennedy could do about them,

"Tell me why you came to Lake Residence. Are you here to laugh at me?"
Kennedy said slowly, glancing over Sean and the others.

Sean shook his head and smiled, saying, "Old Master Lake, although you're
funny the way you are now, we're not that idle to come to Lake Residence to
laugh at you. We're actually here to discuss some business with you."
Kennedy's eyes glimmered before he said solemnly, "Business? What do I have
to talk to you about?"
