"Do you still want to be involved in the affairs of the Lake family in Ocean City?"
Sean looked at Max and asked with a smile.

As soon as he spoke, Kennedy and Curtis tensed because Max's response next
would determine their fate.

Max glanced at Sean coldly and said solemnly, "Never mind. They offended you,
so they will have to pay for it. I shall return to Janestown now that this is settled.”
With that said, Max walked out of Lake Residence. However, when he took one
foot out of the door, he said, "Sean, Don's death won't end so easily. Even if the
Lake family doesn’t go after you, Sky Sect will."

Sean smiled disdainfully and said coldly, "If Sky Sect wants, they can come to
Ocean City for me. Or ask them to talk to me face to face when I go to
Janestown someday!"

Crystal wanted to speak, but Sean stopped her with a look.

"Alright, since you're that daring, I'll wait for you in Janestown! I hope you'll be as
calm as you are today when you face Sky Sect!" Max said with a laugh. Then, he
strode out of Lake Residence and disappeared from view.

As Max left, Kennedy and Curtis instantly fell to the ground with pale faces. They
knew the Lake family’s first branch was doomed.

"Mr. Lennon! Mr. Lennon! I'm willing to give you all our assets. Please spare us
both!" Kennedy slumped down and begged Sean for mercy.

Sean raised his eyebrows. Before he could speak, Titus spoke first.

"You're smart. You beg for mercy now that your backup got scared off? Do you
think Brother Lennon does charity? Having been entangled with you and your
father for so long, you think you can move on just by asking for mercy?"

Titus looked at Kennedy and Curtis with unbridled contempt and disdain. After all
these years, he finally overpowered Kennedy and Curtis.
