The man who spoke wore a smug grin; after completing his task, he was looking forward to a leisurely half-day off.

“Today, I’m not here on official business,” Alyssa tapped her fingers on the desktop, addressing the elite lawyers at the Howard
Group. “There’s a bit of a family matter that I need your expertise on.”
To build such an elite legal team, they had been scouting talent from top universities for years and occasionally even flew abroad
to recruit those eager to join their ranks.

“The matter I bring to you today is rather urgent, and when it comes to legal issues, you guys are my go-to. Don’t worry, this is an
extra assignment. Naturally, there will be additional compensation for your overtime-consider it a favor to an old lady.”
Alyssa’s smile was gentle, yet her tone left no room for refusal.
To handle the issue concerning Ivy, she had decided to go straight to the lawyers-making clear their stance was paramount.
Since Ivy’s debut as a fresh-faced actress, she had been dogged by countless negative headlines. Such aggressive news
seemed to aim at ensuring Ivy would vanish from the public eye for good.

Previously, Ivy had chosen not to retaliate, believing in the principle that the innocent need no defense.
The only time she ever clarified matters was to dispel rumors of bullying on set. But with no company to back her up against the
slanderers, she had remained silent.

“Madam, we promise we’ll try our best,” the lead lawyer said.

documents. He looked up with a playful smile. “Madam, may I ask what relation this actress has to you?”
Alyssa’s lips curled into a knowing smile. “This young lady is my granddaughter-in-law. You understand now why I’m in such a
hurry to get your help, right? These rascals have dared to sling mud at a member of the Howard family. Do you think I’d just sit

by and do nothing?”
Her smile was warm, but the lawyers avoided meeting her gaze; the authority emanating from her eyes was not something their
youthful confidence could withstand.
So, the rising star actress Ivy was the Howard family’s granddaughter-in-law!
This actress must have some serious talent to land a role in Colton’s movie right out of the gate.
Leo briefly skimmed through the documents and then offered a response. “Rest assured, Madam, this won’t be a tough nut for
us to crack. But I need to know your exact objective-do you want to silence these people from mentioning her, or do you wish to
convince the public of her innocence?”
For the team of lawyers, the strategies for achieving these goals would be entirely
different.
