Ellinor looked puzzled, and Theo squinted at her with a sarcastic grin, “Still don’t get what you misunderstood about me?”
Ellinor snapped out of it and stared at him, “Tell me, what did I misunderstand about you?”
Instead of answering the man pulled a folder out of the pocket on the back of the front seat and handled it to her
What’s this?”
Ellinor raised an eyebrow and took the folder with confusion. Inside was a document all in foreign language.
Luckily, Ellinor could understand the language on the document. The title was an adoption agreement, and the rest was all about
adoption.
In the top left corner of the document was a 2-inch photo, the boy in the photo was the same kid that had been with Patricia
before
The kid was adopted?
Ellinor furrowed her brows, looking confusedly at Theo, “If he’s just an adopted child, why did I hear him call you “Daddy’ so
naturally?”
The man rubbed his forehead with one hand, “I adopted him from abroad. He’s still young and can’t speak well, so he only knew
how to say ‘Daddy and Mommy when he first came”
So Theo and Patricia didn’t have a child together.
The man gave her a sidelong glance, “You saw me interacting with the child and jumped to conclusions. Shouldn’t you have
asked me for clarification before making a decision? You just left without giving me a chance to explain.”
Ellinor glared at him, slightly annoyed, “Didn’t I ask? I wanted to ask you then! I even called you, but you lied to me saying you
were still abroad! If you didn’t do anything wrong, why did you lie?”
Theo was taken aback.

Knowing he was in the wrong, he sat up straight and cleared his throat, “I’m sorry, that was my mistake. I had planned to tell you
the truth in person, I was afraid I couldn’t explain it well over the phone and you would get angry.”
Ellinor scoffed, “A lie is a lie, and you’re making excuses that you didn’t want to make me angry? The way you talk, it sounds like
I’m the one in the wrong and you’re the victim!”
Even though Theo appeared dominant, he always ended up losing when arguing with her.
“You’re not wrong. I am!”
The man reached out and gently picked her up and sat her on his lap. Ellinor furrowed her brow, “What are you doing? I’m
warning you! We’re not in a relationship now, you better respect me!”
Instead, the man held her tighter, “Ellinor, can’t I feel a bit wronged? You heartless woman, you left me without a word, not
wanting me anymore!”
I just left reasonably after our collaboration ended!”
Ellinor was like an uncooperative child, trying her best to escape from the man...
However, her feeble strength was no match for this strong man.
The man’s large hand pressed against the back of her head, gently yet firmly holding her head against his shoulder, calming her
down.
At the same time, his deep, magnetic voice coaxed her, “Easy, just listen to me. I know I was wrong, it’s all my fault.
I didn’t tell you beforehand and decided on my own to accompany Patricia to adopt a child, causing you to misunderstand. I was
in the wrong.”
Hearing his sincere apology and explanation, Ellinor was stunned. She stopped struggling.
