The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning

Chapter 1140

Audrey walked over to Kevin, but her long dress almost tripped her. Kevin reacted swiftly to support her. Audrey, sensitive to their contact, looked at the part where they touched. He was aware of his abruptness and gradually let go of her, "The floor is slippery. Be careful."

Audrey smiled, "I still don't like wearing high heels. Thank you, Mr. Harrison."

Kevin nodded, "You're welcome. The car will be here soon. Be careful on the way back, and stay safe."

He took a step back to maintain a proper distance.

Audrey asked, "You seem to care a lot about that person just now. Do you have feelings for her?"
Kevin did not deny nor admit it, "She was my intern assistant. She tends to get into trouble. I apologize for any embarrassment."

Audrey smiled gently, "I've heard about her. She's Ms. Samford's assistant. I can tell that you treat her differently."

Outside Eternal Seasons, a familiar black car slowly approached. She continued, "Mr. Harrison, the car is here. I'll be taking my leave now. I still remember owing you a meal; I'll treat you another day."
Kevin nodded.

He escorted Audrey to the entrance of Eternal Seasons and watched the car leave.

Although the wedding had concluded perfectly, Kevin still could not relax his vigilance because any unexpected situation might still happen.

The bodyguards stationed on Zach and Madelyn's floor felt
extremely uncomfortable as they listened to the not-so-soundproof room, where sounds of pleasure could be heard.

When Madelyn was in deep sleep in the early hours, a few rooster crows from outside woke her up. Eternal Seasons kept poultry to provide fresh food for their customers, so the sounds of chickens and ducks were not unusual.

Madelyn's clothes tightly stuck to her private part, and even a slight movement caused unbearable pain. She had no strength at all, to the point where she could hardly lift her finger. She remained awake for about an hour or so.

Outside the window, the sky gradually brightened with the first light of dawn. Beams of light penetrated through the thick curtains into the room.

It was around six in the morning now.

Madelyn knew she could not waste any more time. She forced herself to leave Zach's arms. The bottle of red wine, spiked with sedatives, was finished by him. He was lying beside Madelyn, completely unconscious. The aroma of red wine still lingered on her body.

She thought, 'He was crazy for doing so many different sexual activities. If he didn't stop, I'd probably be extremely exhausted.' Zach newly replaced the white sheets and blankets last night.

The sticky feeling in Madelyn's private part made her extremely uncomfortable. She struggled to walk to the bathroom but eventually managed to clean herself and put on a clean set of clothes.

Madelyn felt somewhat unreal when she walked out of the bathroom and saw Zach on the bed. She knew people were outside the door and was unsure if she could leave successfully. But this was her last chance.

It would likely be even more difficult to leave after returning to Southern Haven Villas.

The moment Madelyn rested her hand on the doorknob, a cold, deep, hoarse voice could be heard from behind, "Where do you think you are going?"

Nervous, Madelyn turned her head. Her palms became sweaty in just a few seconds, perhaps out of fear.

She responded, "H-How did you wake up so soon?"

She glanced at Zach, struggling to sit on the bed from the corner of her eye. He was dressed in a loose, dark-colored men's bathrobe. He stepped on the ground, but his feet felt weightless.

He then realized what happened. His eyes turned red, looking like he was about to get furious, as he stared at her intensely, "You drugged me."
