The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning

Chapter 1263
Lana said, “Am I really that scary to you?”
Kai replied, “I...” As a doctor, he had seen his own share of nude
bodies, but he just could not look at Lana’s body.
Kai had his own reasons, but Lana did not know.
His feelings for her started when she married Andrew, and he began
plotting to take her away from Andrew. Kai had done everything in his
power to ruin Andrew. Later, when Lana mistook Kai for Andrew, and still could not forget Andrew even after being hypnotized,
Kai finally realized he had failed in his attempts to win her over.
Kai could not face Lana now. Even as a doctor, he was unable to look
at Lana when her breast was exposed.
Seeing that Kai still had not turned around, Lana cried.
He finally turned around after hearing the sobbing behind him. He sat
on the bed and comforted Lana, saying, “I’m sorry. I overreacted.”
Lana wiped away her tears and pushed Kai’s hand away. “There’s

nothing dirty about me that made you keep looking away from me,
right? Or is this child not yours? You’d rather look at the child than
even glance at me.
“Andrew, we haven’t slept together in such a long time.”
Kai replied, “All right, I’ll accompany you tonight, I won’t go anywhere else, okay?”
He gently wiped away Lana’s tears. She asked, “What about your work at the research institute?”
Kai responded, “I took a few months off, so for now, I’ll be at home
with you, I won’t be going anywhere else.”
Lana finally calmed down.
After a moment, she said, “I received a package for you, but the
address wasn’t clear, so I’m not sure who sent it. I’ve placed it on the
table.”
She was afraid it might contain something important, so she did not dare to open it.
After Kai opened it, he merely found a bracelet made of ordinary

seashells inside.
Lana said, “It’s such a beautiful bracelet. Where was it sent from?”
Kai, feeling the beautiful ridges on the seashells, replied, “From a very, very distant place. If we get a chance, I’ll take you there
someday.”
Lana asked, “What about the kids?”
“We can just leave them at home with a babysitter, they’ll be fine.”
“That place must be very breathtaking! Otherwise, these seashells wouldn’t be so beautiful. Does this bracelet hold any
particular
significance?”
