Chapter 1319
Liam said, “If you think the apartment is too small, we can go look for
a new place after our wedding.”
Blake lay on his lap, opened a pack of chips, and started eating. “It’s okay. I think we’re fine like this. The neighborhood is very
quiet, and the landscaping is quite good.”
Liam replied, “Alright. I’ll follow whatever you decide.”
Blake sniffed and suddenly smelled something. She then sniffed his
body. “Did you smoke? I thought you don’t smoke?”
“I’ll quit,” Liam replied.
He then handed over the cigarettes in his pocket and all the money in his wallet to Blake. “From now on, you’ll handle everything
in this
household, including all kinds of expenses. The PIN to the bank
account is your birthday.”
“I’m not good at managing money. I might mess up,” Blake responded.
Liam said, “It’s okay, you can take it slow. I still have some time

before starting my new job, so I’ll be at home with you during this
period.”
“Okay.”
A week passed, and it was Blake’s wedding.
It was held in a church, and there were only five tables at the banquet.
Then, unexpected guests arrived.
Wearing a white wedding gown and holding Liam’s arm, Blake stood
on the platform and saw Kevin appear with Audrey.
Audrey said, “Sorry for the uninvited visit. We’re here because of the
last incident.
“Blake, this is my wedding gift for you.”
Audrey was dressed elegantly and gracefully. She was wearing a pearl necklace around her neck. Her tone was gentle, mirroring
her
title as the precious daughter of a high-ranking official. Kevin had
once said that Blake did not compare to Audrey.

Blake thought, ‘Whenever Audrey is around, Kevin’s gaze is always
fixed on her.”
Upon seeing Kevin and Audrey’s arrival, Julian showed an inscrutable
expression. “Ms. Parker, has Mr. Parker’s health improved?”
Audrey seemed to be very afraid of Julian. When he approached her,
she trembled and hid behind Kevin. Kevin responded, “Mr. Parker is fine, don’t worry.
“We’re here merely out of old acquaintanceship and to bring a gift. We
won’t disturb you any further. Goodbye.”
Blake stopped them. “Since you two are here, why not stay for a meal? Liam and I can’t just accept this gift.”
Kevin coldly said without looking back, “She’s unwell. We merely passed by here. We need to rush to the hospital later, so
please
excuse us.”
With that, he left the church with Audrey.
Blake could not help but find it ridiculous when she looked at the gift wrapped in a white box on the table. Her eyes were filled
with
sadness.
Concerned, Liam asked, “Are you okay?”
Blake shook her head. “I’m fine. Let’s just continue.”
She was absentminded as the wedding went on. After toasting, the
Xander family quickly left, leaving only Blake’s family and relatives.
Liam toasted with her relatives. He had drunk quite a bit and appeared visibly intoxicated.

While he was still entertaining guests, Blake suddenly felt suffocated.
So, she went back to the hotel room alone.
