Zach continued, “Even if we set aside the college fee, for you, it’s an astronomical figure. Even if you have a scholarship, just the
cost of living would be overwhelming. And if you come to Ventropolis, what about your disabled mother? So, in your past life, a
university in Silverbrook was your only option. Am I right?”

Zach smirked and went on, “And you coming to Ventropolis implies that your mother passed away in less than three years, and
that’s when you decided to come to Ventropolis.
He continued, “Ventropolis always has an abundance of talent, and your qualifications aren’t exceptional there. So, looking at the
entire Ventropolis and the way Azure Corporation is growing, Azure does seem like a good choice for you.
“I guess the reason we had met that time is that you had joined Azure as an employee, am I right?” he added
Zach’s gaze made Cecilia all jittery because he was spot–on. No matter how hard she tried to act cool, he could see right
through her.
He smiled, “I’ve been watching you for years, even noticed some habits we share. It seems there must be something about you
that drew me to you in our past lives, which ended up with you in my bed. As for what exactly it was, well, I’m sure you’re aware
of it. You do know your own worth, don’t you? Do you really think Jardin Corporation wouldn’t exist without you?”
Zach smoothed out the wrinkles on Cecilia’s nightgown, giving her a stern gaze. “So, even if you weren’t here, I’d still be in the
same place.”
In Zach’s eyes, Cecilia’s actions didn’t pose any threat. The reason he didn’t want to have a total falling out with her was
because he wanted to know what had happened in their past lives.

Zach used another keycard to unlock their room door. But when he tried to open it, he saw a chain and a cabinet blocking the
