Chapter 1196
"Liam, don't worry. Dad won't do anything to that lady. He's just trying to scare you," Amber said softly, finally picking up the
courage to speak as she walked beside Liam shyly.
"I know. He has a soft heart,” Liam replied absent-mindedly. He couldn't stop worrying about Renee.
"I know that lady is very important to you. If you want to save her, you'll have to outsmart him. Don't take him head-on. If not, the
consequences will be unimaginable..."
"Outsmart him?" Liam finally turned his attention to the young woman beside him. Under the moonlight, Amber's long hair, large
eyes, and white outfit gave off a pure and gentle aura.
"Yes. I have a way to help you outsmart him." Amber looked up at him, her dark eyes shining like stars.
"Really? I'm all ears." Liam was a bit doubtful of this young woman who blushed the moment she saw him. He felt that she would
not come up with any constructive ideas, but he couldn't deny his curiosity.
Amber then glanced at the guards who were following them and tried to say fiercely, "Stop following Liam and I. We want to talk
in private."
"But Miss Jenkins, the master ordered us to protect you closely in case..."
"In case of what?" Amber put her hands on her hips and demanded in a slightly fierce tone.
"Umm... In case..." The guard glanced at Liam but did not dare to continue talking. So, it seemed that the crafty Benjamin was
not entirely trusting of Liam.
"You guys are afraid that Liam will harm me, right? That will never happen. When he came, he gave up all his weapons. Besides,
he's not that kind of a person. I just want to tell him some secrets. Don't I have the right to do that?"
"Yes, sure." It was the first time the guards saw the gentle Amber flare up in such a great rage, so they retreated quietly.
"Great. Those annoying people are finally gone." Amber heaved a sigh of relief before she inadvertently met Liam's gaze. Her
cheeks immediately turned red again.
With his hands in his pockets, Liam said lightly, "So, how do you plan to outsmart him?1'
"Take this." Amber approached Liam and subtly stuffed something into his hands.
Liam looked down and was surprised to see that it was a dagger. "With just this? All the guards here are fully armed, so I'm
afraid that this small dagger can't do much for me... It can't help me save her."
"I'm not that dumb. Of course, this dagger isn't to save her."
"Then what is it for?"
"Let me show you." Amber took Liam's hand that was holding the dagger and put it to her throat. "My father adores me very
much. You can ask him to exchange your woman with me. You can save her then, right?"
