The Untouchable Ex Wife by Mizuki Sei

Chapter 1569
Timothy’s eyes widened in realization, and he sighed exasperatedly. "Don't tell me you're serious about Renee!" Back then, there
had been an uproar because Jovan was coveting Renee, and the whole Hunt family became aware of it. Even if Timothy didn't
read the news much, he would occasionally hear rumors. However, he was a slick man who had been making a living in the
business field for many years, and he felt that Jovan only wanted what Stefan had to prove that he was stronger than him.
"You've always been competing against Stefan, and your parents always pressured you to win against him, which is why you feel
like it's your mission to defeat him. He got a master's degree from Hart University, so you went and got a master's degree from
Marvel Institute of Technology. He's the president of Hunt Enterprise, and as the vice president, you want to take over his
position. When he wanted to focus on Al, you beat him to it and established an Al research center at Newrest. Finally, he fell in
love and found the most important woman in his life, and as his cousin, you want to meddle in that... You should think about
whether you really love Renee, or whether you just see her as a tool to defeat Stefan," Timothy said finally.
"If you asked me four years ago, I would tell you that I saw Renee as a tool to defeat Stefan... but it's different now. I've come to
realize that my feelings toward her aren't that simple." Jovan was unusually solemn as he looked at Timothy and confessed,
"What I'm doing right now is all so I can get her. If it means giving up power over Hunt Enterprise, I don't mind it at all... After all,
if I can't have it, I can always destroy it!" Jovan said with a smirk. He had long prepared himself to take Hunt Enterprise or Stefan
down with him, so he easily rejected Timothy's tempting offer.
"You don't have to do that!" Timothy couldn’t stop sighing. ” You shouldn't let love control you like Stefan. It'll only bring you pain."
"Pain?" Jovan scoffed, his gaze distant. "I know what it feels like to lose something. I've lived in that dark abyss for ages, and I
think nothing will be more painful than that." In the past, he had owned Renee briefly, and that time had been the most relaxing
and happiest in his life even though he had been blind and disabled. Renee was the source of his happiness, but he had lost her
during the happiest time of his life. That had been the moment he realized how strong his feelings for her truly were; had he not
experienced her light, he wouldn't have come to crave it. Now, he was prepared to get her back, no matter the cost.
"Don't turn me down just yet. This contract is effective on a long-term basis, or at least until I die. Come and sign it once you've
thought it through," Timothy said persuasively.
"No, that day won't come. There'll only be one outcome in this-either he dies, or I die!" Jovan snarled, then stood up and left
Timothy’s room.
