The Untouchable Ex-Wife

Liam was slightly surprised. He did not expect the weak and child-like Amber to show such
a tough side. He immediately put away the dagger and said firmly, “Don’t joke around like
that. Aren’t you worried that I might actually take you as a hostage?”
Amber was very naive. Her eyes were pure and clear as she said, “I think it’s worth it even if
you hold me as a hostage in exchange for your beloved woman!”
“Silly child. You should know your worth.” Liam would never use such an immoral tactic,
even if he was left with no options.
He looked around. Although those two guards had been sent away, they were still following
them from afar. All the exits were guarded too, so it would be practically impossible to save
Renee under the guards’ strict monitoring.
“Gem... Amber... Forget about the hostage plan. Can you take me to the dungeon to see my
girlfriend?” Liam was helpless, and this was the only way he could think of. Amber was the
only one on his side that had a bit of status in the whole fort.
“The dungeon is very dangerous, so my father prohibits me from going there... but if you
want to see her, I can take you there.” Amber nibbled her lip nervously as she made up her
mind, then led Liam to the dungeon. She knew her father would be angry and punish her,
but she wanted to do whatever she could to help Liam.
The dungeon was located in a very remote place, and was guarded all around. Generally,
one would only be locked there if Benjamin wanted to sentence them to death or sell them
to others.

Currently, both Renee and Joanne were locked in there, so their fates were imaginable...
It was a dark night. The two guards were slightly tired, so they started chatting idly.
“Did you hear? Master plans to tear Joanne into pieces and sell her to someone else.
They’ll come and get her tonight.”
“Ah, how sad! She’s pretty, but she’ll soon be torn into pieces. What a pity!”
“It’s not a pity at all! If she didn’t betray him, she might be his wife now. She’s ungrateful. It
serves her right!”
Liam happened to hear their conversation, and his eyes widened in shock.” Did I hear right?
Your father wants to sell Joanne’s body parts?! Isn’t she his only female disciple? That’s too
cruel!”
With her head lowered, Amber grasped the hem of her clothes awkwardly.” Joanne is
indeed very pitiful. She did the right thing and didn’t want to conspire with my dad... I tried to
beg for mercy for her, but no one can change my dad’s mind once he decides on
something.”
At the same time, two people in lab coats and masks walked into the dungeon, carrying a
toolbox.
The guards immediately blocked their path. “Show me your pass.”
The two people showed their passes to the guards, and were allowed to enter the dungeon.
“Be quick. The items have to be delivered fresh.” The guards ordered them.
Meanwhile, Liam was terrified.

He had long heard that Benjamin was ruthless, but he had always appeared amiable. He
even took Liam in as his disciple and taught him martial arts. As a result, Liam assumed that
Benjamin was not that bad.
Now, it was clear that the man was actually a ferocious demon who had no qualms about
killing others!
The most horrible thing was that Benjamin had admired Joanne greatly in the past. She was
the one exception-his only female disciple.
