“That’s different. People will change.’ Renee had finished her bath at some point, and put a bathroom on as she left the room.
She heard Xavier and Leia criticizing Stefan from the second floor, and was determined to defend her beloved. The three of them
looked up as she appeared, and when they saw Renee, their faces lit up.
“Ren, why did you come out alone? Wait there, I’ll come help you.” Stefan rushed upstairs, treating Renee like a newborn.
Both Leia and Xavier also treated Renee carefully, and didn’t dare say anything harsh to her.
“Ren, how are you feeling now? Are you feeling sick or unhappy?” Stefan guided Renee to sit in the living room, and Leia quickly
went over and held Renee’s arms in concern.
No, I’m fine. Well, I’ve bumped into a lot of things. It’s just a prank by some childish people. It’s no big deal.” Renee patted the
back of Leia’s hand and tried to reassure her.” You shouldn’t take it to heart, or you’ll be the one suffering. Remember-people like
this don’t matter. You don’t have to take it seriously.”
Leia couldn’t understand Renee’s words, but she felt miserable. “Yeah, you’re right-they’re just nobodies. If I’m sad because of
him, I’m the dumbest person in the world.”
Leia assumed that Renee was talking about Xavier affecting her mood, but Xavier felt Leia to be more generous instead of
fussing over such a small matter.
“Did you hearthat? Renee is so open-minded and mature. It’s just an accident, so there’s no need to get so mad at crazy people
like them,” Xavier said to Leia righteously. He knew that Leia would only listen to Renee because she saw her as her spiritual
guide and idol. She would always obey Renee, even if Renee asked her to do something outrageous, so Xavier figured it would
be most effective to ask Renee to talk some sense into her.
“Are you referring to yourself? Well, I really don’t have time to waste on people like you.” Leia typed on her phone aloofly.
“Are you trying to drive me mad?” Xavier turned to Renee desperately. “Renee, she’s talking nonsense. Can’t you do
something?”
Renee smiled, a little jealous of their quarrelsome but loving relationship. It was just like Renee’s relationship with Stefan back
then. They had soldiered through a lot of hardships before getting a strong relationship. Hence, Renee decided to help them...
