Skylar gave Valerie a call when they returned to their mansion at night. As soon as the call was connected, Valerie could be
heard laughing as she said, “Oh Skylar, I can’t believe that you’re calling me at this hour. Aren’t you afraid that your wife might be
jealous?”
Skylar chuckled and glanced at Yulia beside him. He noticed that Yulia was pretending to read a book but was actually
eavesdropping on his phone call. So, he said, “My wife is extremely kind and reasonable. Don’t worry, we still trust each other.”
Yulia was embarrassed after hearing such high praises from Skylar. She blushed and nudged Skylar, telling him to stop.
Valerie was stunned for a moment before realizing something as she said, “Hey Skylar, she’s next to you isn’t she? Other people
might not know this, but I clearly know that you may look serious, the truth is, you’re quite the closeted creep.”
Wow... Skylar blushed as he wondered just how much of a loose cannon Valerie truly was for working in the entertainment
industry for so long. Yulia on the other hand frowned when she heard that. It almost seemed like she was trying to ask Skylar just
how Valerie could know so much about him.
Her reaction made Skylar nervous as he let out a few awkward coughs and said, “Hey, go easy on me alright. Yulia wanted me
to call you. Kareem Fashions wanted to shoot a commercial for the anti-blemish cream. We think that you’re a perfect fit. Are you
free to meet up tomorrow?”
Valerie stopped joking after knowing that it was a business call. She pondered for a moment and said, “Well, I’m currently out of
state for an assignment. I intended to explore the site for a few days, but since you and Yulia have such high respect for me, I’ll
book a return flight back in a bit. If you are in a hurry, you can pick me up at the station and we’ll talk business in Kareem
Fashions. But, you’ll have to talk fees with my manager. I won’t be able to decide on how much the rates are.”
“Sure, we’ll do just that. Send me the details once you’re done booking the tickets. I’ll pick you up at the station tomorrow,” Skylar
replied in a heartbeat.
The next day.
Since Skylar had to pick Valarie up, he went straight to Kareem Fashions with Yulia after dropping Lola off at her kindergarten.
Soon, he received a text from Valarie saying that she would arrive in half an hour.
So, Skylar hopped onto Dianne’s car as they made their way to the train station.

Five minutes later, they spotted a group of people disembarking from the platform. It did not take long for Skylar to spot Valarie
from the crowd.
“Over here, Valarie!” Skylar waved.
“You’re already here, Skylar? I was worried that I informed you a little too late earlier.” Valarie strode over to Skylar after that.
Suddenly, a lady in shades intentionally bumped into Valarie.
“Ah!” Since Valarie was in heels, and Skylar was nowhere near here, she fell to the ground after the lady bumped into her.
“Ah, it hurts!” Valarie cried out in pain while clutching her ankle.
Her ankle was visibly swollen and it was clearly a heavy fall.
However, not only was the lady unapologetic, she took her shades off and mocked, “Gosh, you are so rude, Valarie! How dare
you walk in front of me when you’re barely in the industry for long. I’m fuming with rage right now and yet, you’re on the ground
playing with dirt!”
