Pietro shrugged helplessly. "Well, I can't show my face today, can I? That's why she'd reject me."

Patricia made nothing of it, as she believed Isaac's good looks were second only to Adonis'. No matter how good-looking this
stranger was, she would feel nothing, nor was she interested in knowing at all.
With that, she took a sip of her liquor and mused, I'm going to leave if you still can't find me, Isaac.
A certain someone already loved to throw a bit of a tantrum normally and now was even more so upset. Thus, she was feeling

Adeline was among the group surrounding Pietro, and she managed to make out Patricia at first glance because of the necklace
the latter was wearing. A few maids back home talked about buying it, and Patricia herself said it was just something off-the-
rack.
To think she dared to wear something so cheap to a banquet like this!
At that, she smirked maliciously and whispered to a young woman. "I know who she is. She's the daughter of one of my family's
maids—I don't know how she managed to get in—but I recognize the necklace she's wearing. Off-the-rack and only costs a few
dozen."
The young woman was Pietro's last girlfriend, and as long as Pietro failed to find a new target, she could stay by his side a little
while longer. She loved Pietro and thus loathed any of his new prey.
After hearing Adeline's words, she raised her chin condescendingly. So, a lowlife, huh? And a maid's daughter at that. I'll show

With that, she approached Patricia and lifted her necklace, wanting to yank it away. However, Patricia caught her arm in time.

"What are you doing?"
The young woman snorted disdainfully and jeered, "This necklace of yours, it's off-the-rack, isn't it? There isn't even a crystal on
it. I bet it cost only a few dozen."
While speaking, she turned to Pietro. "Dear, you can't possibly fall for someone with such bad taste, can you?"
Meanwhile, Adeline crossed her arms at her chest as she watched the scene unfold impassively. Get ready to embarrass
yourself in front of all these people, Patricia! She smirked triumphantly.
A few young women beside Adeline took a gander at Patricia's necklace too. These people were children of the rich and
powerful and thus were more than familiar with jewelry. They could make a pretty good guess at the pricing after checking the
stone. In fact, they could even tell which brand they belonged to.
Thus, they all agreed the necklace Patricia was wearing was a knockoff when they saw that the fineness of the necklace was
terrible, unlike those sold in various stores, and that there wasn't a single diamond on it. It was just an okay-looking but super
cheap piece of trash.
The people this circle shunned most were those who wore knockoffs, and these people didn't deserve to join them at all.
"Miss, are you trying to challenge Mr. Ortega when you show up at his birthday party wearing a knockoff?"
After all, the Ortega Family was one of the top four prominent families of Appleby. Their social status was all but ordinary, and
their friends were most certainly rich, if not powerful.
Thus, they believed Patricia had snuck in. Hmph, who does she think she is?!
"Go ahead and ask Nikola if I'm challenging him," monotoned Patricia as she looked dead into their eyes.
The gaze of the young woman in love with Pietro sharpened after she heard Patricia's taunt. And you still dare to resist even
when it has come to this?! Get ready to die, then!

But to her dismay, the second she tried to yank the necklace, Patricia grabbed her thumb and threw her over her shoulder.
The young woman slammed heavily onto the floor. Her mask had fallen off in the process, so those aside could see how much
pain she was experiencing. In fact, they had the delusion of experiencing the pain themselves.
"Help, she's attacking me..." the young woman wailed at once, attracting everyone's attention. A spotlight even shone toward
them, lighting up the area.
Patricia stole the limelight just by standing there in her shapely figure and dazzling silver diamond mask. Though no one could
make out who she was, her getup and temperament already made her stand out.
