Big Novel

You, Me And Our Genus Twins

He never intended to kill his ex-wife; he just pushed her off the stairs by accident. That's why a servant witnessed everything
when it happened, as he didn't do it in secret. After that, he gave the servant a hundred million as hush money. The servant
happily quit her job after receiving the money. Then, when his wife was vegetative, he told everyone it was an accident. Although
some suspected that he was the one who pushed her off, they couldn't find any proof. So, no one forced the matter to be
investigated by the police. Just like that, the case was closed.
After everything had happened, he married Angie despite his children's protest. Ever since he married her, his life had been
getting better and better. It was as if he had a second chance in life; he felt younger and filled with youthful vigor. He loved Angie
with the entirety of his being and planned to have a baby with her. He wondered if their baby would inherit their genes and
become bright and good-looking as Angie was intelligent, elegant, and beautiful.
Whenever he thought about the bright future ahead of him, he was pumped and felt that life was full of excitement and hope.
However, he always wondered how his friends and business partners would admire him when he proved that he could still keep
it going after having a child with Angie.
But before any of that could happen, everything went downhill. The police had found evidence of him bribing the servant.
Because of this, the servant was terrified and blurted everything out.
Now that all evidence was in place, he would be charged with attempted murder.
When his predicament finally set in, he panicked as he would be in prison for at least three years—or worse, ten years—if he
was found guilty. He was already in his fifties; half of his life had passed, and he just wanted to enjoy life as much as possible.
How could he spend his remaining years in prison?
"I didn't mean to push Charlotte down the stairs! She fell on her own!" Jeffrey protested.
"Since she fell on her own, why did you bribe Cara with one hundred million?" the police asked.
"Because I'm afraid she will talk nonsense!" he said hurriedly. "I was arguing with my ex-wife. She was hot in the head at that
moment when she accidentally slipped and fell down the stairs. At that time, Cara was cleaning the living room. Although she
didn't see anything, she was spreading rumors with other servants behind my back, telling them that I was the one who pushed

Charlotte! There were only the three of us when it happened. I couldn't prove myself, Charlotte was in a coma, and there was
only Cara left. Won't I be guilty of murder if I allowed her to keep spreading the rumor? So, I had no choice but to give her one
hundred million to keep her mouth shut."
"Oh really?" the police officer said coldly. "How generous of you to give her one hundred million and not be mad at her for falsely
accusing you of something you didn't do!"
"What else is there to do? No matter how you put it, my ex-wife was in this state because of me. Because of this, my children are
angry at me. What would I do if they had believed in Cara's words and turned against me?" Jeffrey said.
As he continued speaking, he managed to persuade himself and gained more confidence as time passed. It was Cara's words
against his, so he believed that the police couldn't charge him for anything. Furthermore, his reason was convincing too. As long
as there was no evidence, they couldn't do anything about him.
It was as if the police had read his mind, so he mercilessly cut him off by saying, "Jeffrey, do you think we couldn't convict you
just with Cara's confession? Don't fret. Soon, we will have new evidence. All we have to do is to detain you in custody for 48
hours. Then, you will have nothing to say for yourself when we have everything. So, I advise you to confess before we find the
evidence. That way, you can plead guilty, and the court will be more lenient when they sentence you to prison."
"New evidence?" Jeffrey reflexively asked. "What do you mean by that?"
There were only three of them when he pushed Charlotte down the stairs. How could the police learn anything else?
"There is a famous doctor who had the title of God of Surgery named Jenson. He is currently preparing to operate on your ex-
wife. From what we know, the surgery will be a huge success. Once the surgery is successful, your ex-wife will be awake. If you
don't come clean now, you will not have the chance to do so once she tells us the truth."
"Jenson? How is that possible?" Jeffrey was spooked.
When his ex-wife hurt her head and went into a coma after falling from the stairs, she was in a vegetative state. His children and
his ex-wife's family searched for many famous doctors, but no one could cure her. Nevertheless, a doctor told them about
Jenson, saying that the surgery of his ex-wife was too risky and only Jenson could do it. So, they exhausted all possible means

to search for him, hoping he would save Charlotte. But they couldn't even see him in person.
"Oh really?" the police officer said coldly. "How generous of you to give her one hundred million and not be mad at her for falsely
accusing you of something you didn't do!"
Jenson was the dean of this country's famous private hospital and the Harts' private doctor. He rarely did surgery for outsiders,
and it was hard for someone to see him in person if they didn't have the right contacts; his children and ex-wife's family were
counted as people with no connections. They worked so hard but could only give up after not being able to see Jenson.
When he first knew that they were going to ask Jenson to do the surgery, he was terrified, and he feared that they would find
Jenson and his ex-wife would recover. But after seeing that they had failed miserably, he slowly eased up. As time passed by, he
had almost forgotten about Jenson. Nevertheless, now that the police had told him that Jenson was preparing surgery for
Charlotte, he couldn't believe it. He wondered why Jenson would suddenly help his ex-wife when his children and ex-wife's
family couldn't see him even when they tried everything.
"That's impossible!" Naturally, this greatly impacted Jeffrey's mental state, and he couldn't retain his composure as he roared,
"You're lying!"
"Why don't you ask your lawyer to see if we are lying to you or not?" Finally, the police left the room, allowing Jeffrey's lawyer into
the room.
As Jeffrey saw his lawyer, he asked hurriedly, "What happened? Why did Jenson suddenly agree to operate Charlotte?"
"This is all because of Angie," the lawyer replied.
Jeffrey was stunned when he heard the lawyer's words. "What does this have to do with her?"
"Jenson is the family doctor of the Hart Family, and Angie offended the master of the Hart Family." Then, the lawyer told him
everything the Harts wanted him to know about Angie and Isabel.
Jeffrey's face gradually paled as cold sweat trickled down his forehead as he listened to the lawyer's report. "Is she... Is she tired
of living?"
