In reality, Leigh was actually drunk and could not even walk in a straight line. As soon as she entered her room, she did not even
bother to freshen up as she fell to the couch in a slump and went to sleep.
Since they were merely acquaintances, Lucas tried as much as he could to keep his distance. He grabbed a throw and covered
her with it before leaving the room. He made sure to lock her door from the outside before trying the door several times just to
make sure that no one would be able to open it without the keys. Subsequently, he went back to his room.
The next morning, Leigh was woken up by a barrage of knocks on her door. She sat up and recollected herself for a moment as
she realized that she had fallen asleep on the couch in her room. She slowly recalled the incident from the previous night and
realized that she could still recall most of the things that happened the previous night, especially the things she'd learned about
the Griffins. She lowered her head once again to glance at the throw covering her and a smile appeared on her face.
"Leigh! Leigh!" Outside the door, Madeline's voice rang out.
"I'm coming." Leigh got up to open the door.
Madeline studied Leigh intently as soon as the door was opened. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." Leigh asked, "What could happen to me?"
"Why didn't you respond to my repeated knocks, then? I called you on your phone, but it was switched off." Madeline chided
Leigh, "You made me worry so badly. I thought that something bad had happened to you."
"I'm fine. I had a bit too much to drink last night, so I was in a deep sleep." Leigh poured two glasses of water and handed one
over to Madeline while she held the other. "Hey, I bumped into your brother-in-law yesterday and he shared something juicy with
me. It was so interesting."
"What brother-in-law?" Madeline was quite shy.

"Well, I bumped into your youngest brother-in-law. His name's Lucas." Leigh grinned. "Your husband's brother is of good quality
and he's not only good-looking but kind too."
At that moment, Madeline was speechless as she thought, How can you describe someone as good quality? Well, that's not the

She inched closer to Leigh. "Are you interested in Lucas? He's unmarried and single, so I can introduce you two to each other."
Leigh nearly spat out the mouthful of water she had just drank. "What are you on about? Are you going to matchmake us just
because I find him nice? There are so many great guys in this world, are you going to be able to introduce me to all of them?"
"I can't do much about the others, but Lucas is different." Madeline added, "He's Sebastian's younger brother, so if you end up
marrying him, then we could be sister-in-laws."
Leigh considered it for a moment and finally, she freed the hand she was holding the glass with and poked Madeline. "That
makes sense!"
"It does make sense, right?" Madeline was excited. "We have a deal then? I'll talk to Lucas on your behalf and you guys can go
on a... blind date?"
A blind date was the quickest way to build up a close relationship between two opposite genders. After the blind date, if they both
found each other suitable and they intended to take the relationship further, then both parties could confirm their status as being
in a relationship. It was much faster than developing feelings for each other and then slowly probing each other before confirming
the relationship.
"If you approach him about this topic, then it would seem as if I was the one who was attracted to him first. That would be
awkward for me!" Leigh took a sip of water and complained, "You should approach him with this topic slowly."
At that moment, Madeline was at a loss for words. She reckoned that though Leigh was not a celebrity, she cared too much
about her image!
"Fine, that's simple enough." Madeline agreed, "I'll find a chance to broach the topic with Lucas."

Leigh thought of Lucas' good-looking features and the happy conversation they shared last night before she nodded. "Sure. I
don't mind whether things work out or not. It's good enough to gain another friend."

"It's alright. We don't mind waiting." Jennifer hurriedly replied, "We came over unannounced and it's our fault for disrupting her
routine."
Madeline served them some fresh tea. "Leigh was in a bad mood and she went for some drinks last night, so she woke up later
than usual. She didn't mean to be rude."
"Yes, we understand." Brandon spoke in a low voice, "Our family owes her an apology, and if we get the chance in the future,
we'll definitely do our best to compensate her."
