Isabella was surprised by the intensity of Seth’s desire for revenge. She tried to open the door, only to find it locked. D*mn it!
The room was filled with the scent of flowers, which could be overwhelming even for someone who wasn’t allergic. Resigned to
her fate, she returned to the bed and noticed that the vent was emitting something. At first, she could tolerate it, but then she
started sneezing, and soon enough, she began to sneeze almost continuously.
She cursed while sneezing, tears streaming down her face. D*mn it! What a heartless man!
After a while, the room was saturated with the scent of flowers, like a gas bomb. Her phone rang, and she continued to curse
intermittently. “Hello?”
“Care to curse some more?”
Isabella was speechless. So what if I curse you, you*sshole! she cursed in her heart, but on the surface, she could only sniffle.
“Mr. Shaffer, I was wrong.”
“Hmph, I thought you were a rather strong person.”
His tone was filled with triumph, and Isabella rolled her eyes. D*mn capitalist! “If I can’t open the window within five minutes, I
might die in your house.” Isabella sneezed, devoid of emotions.
There was disapproval on the other end of the phone. “Do you dare to try it again?”
“Even if you give me the guts, I wouldn’t dare,
Seth snorted twice and hung up the phone. With a click, the door opened, and Isabella felt as though she had been saved as she
quickly ran to the door and opened it wide.
Finally, she could breathe freely again and feel alive.
She stood by the vent, waiting for half of the room’s scent to dissipate before daring to return. Still, she would occasionally
sneeze and would wake up as soon as she closed her eyes. After a night of fumigation, she smelled like roses when she woke
up in the morning. At breakfast, the servants kept their distance from her while Seth simply didn’t come down.
Looks like smelling good is also a problem, she thought and went to the company with a gloomy expression. At work, Phoebe
even took two steps back from her, which made her feel very down.
After the morning meeting, Phoebe entered her office. “Miss Symons, Miss Turner from the project team is waiting outside.”
Isabella was trying to solve the fragrance problem and clicked her tongue in annoyance. “Let her in.”

walked in with a file. As soon as she entered, she sniffed. “It smells so good.”
Isabella twitched her mouth and poured her a cup of coffee. Her gaze fell on the file in Keira’s hand.
Keira sat down and placed the file on the coffee table-it was her resignation letter. Her resignation was expected, but her
frankness surprised Isabella. “Are you unsatisfied with the benefits?”
Keira put on a bitter smile. “There’s no need to beat around the bush at this point.” Isabella chuckled lightly, showing a hint of
mockery. “You have quite the resilience.”
Brushing her hair aside, Keira sighed. “After pretending for so long, I naturally got used to it.”
“Are you motivated by self-interest, or do you simply dislike me?”
“Perhaps both.” Keira took a sip of coffee, looked at Isabella with a complex expression, and assessed her from head to toe.
“You graduated from Bleaktown University, right?” Isabella remained silent.
“So did I, and I was even a year ahead of you.” Keira set down her cup and spread her arms. “Look, isn’t there a significant
difference?”
They were similar people who should have had similar fates. When Isabella was chosen by Jonas, she contemplated saving her,
but when Isabella didn’t actually have an accident, she became unsettled.
“With a fate like yours, the probability is extremely low. Who wouldn’t be envious?”
Her tone was so composed, so composed that it left Isabella feeling powerless. She had initially attributed numerous things to
Abigail, but upon thorough contemplation, she realized that she already had the answers.
