A burning spicy taste filled her mouth, and the tip of her tongue was numb from the heat. The scorching heat ran down her mouth and into her stomach. Although it warmed her, it was accompanied by greater pain than before.
The spiciness of the ginger tea stimulated her stomach, and coupled with the itch in her throat, she couldn’t help but vomit.
The yellow ginger tea and the undigested medicine splashed on Marco.
Marco was a clean freak. He saw the vomit on his upper body and arms. It was sticky and smelly.
He snorted coldly and held his breath.
“Kristen, did you spit on me on purpose?” He was disgusted. He pushed Kristen away and put down the fork in his hand. He quickly wiped it with tissues. The more he wiped, the more disgusted he felt. His face collapsed.
After Kristen vomited, her face turned even paler. She covered her stomach with one hand and wiped her mouth with the other. When she heard what Marco said, she looked up and met Marco’s gloomy face.
“I already said that I wouldn’t drink it. It was you who insisted on feeding me!” She refused to take the blame.
Moreover, she really did not do it on purpose. If she knew that she would vomit on Marco, she would have to endure it downstairs. She would vomit more on Marco. It would be best to make Marco not dare to touch her again.
Marco wiped his shirt for a while before throwing it on the ground. He reached out to Kristen.
Kristen hesitated. She subconsciously shrank into the quilt. It was like she wanted to avoid danger.
Marco was stunned for a moment. He did not expect that his simple action would make Kristen frightened.
He thought perhaps his expression frightened her. Marco slightly restrained his anger and leaned over to gently pinch Kristen’s chin.
Kristen wanted to dodge. Marco stroked her head and asked, “What’s up? Didn’t you just throw a temper tantrum? You are afraid now?”
Kristen did not like Marco touching her head. It was intimate for other people, but to her, being touched by Marco on the head was something undignified. It was just like he was stroking a dog in a good mood.
Marco had indeed treated her like a dog recently. He wanted to tame her into an obedient woman.
Marco picked Kristen up from the quilt. She was too light.
Kristen’s skin was fair and delicate. It was easy to leave signs on her body. Her lips were inflamed. He knew that her lips were accidentally scalded when he fed her ginger tea just now.
He didn’t find the tea too hot when he touched the mug…
Marco gently touched her face, “Open your mouth and let me take a look.”
Kristen turned her head, her throat burning with pain. She said in a hoarse voice, “Don’t touch me.”
“I won’t do something to you this time. I just wanted to see if your mouth was injured.”
“So what if I was injured? Can he treat me?” Kristen thought. She hated Marco who hurt her and pretended to care about her.
“Go away.” Kristen gave him a push, but she failed.
Marco frowned. He humbled himself, but Kristen still refused to obey. He was upset.
He thought Kristen was just asking for trouble. She would only be obedient when she was forced. He would forget to be gentle to her after a while.
Marco held Kristen’s face, pinched her lower jaw, and opened her mouth to look inside.
Kristen only felt that her lower jaw was about to be crushed by him. The bones of her jaw hurt. She couldn’t help but let out a cry. Tears flowed out of the corners of her eyes again.
Marco ignored her discomfort and continued to check the inside of her mouth. Sure enough, there were several blisters in her mouth, and a small piece of the skin of her upper jaw had been scalded off.
There was no bleeding, but Kristen must not be feeling very well with an injury in the mouth.
Marco was a little guilty, “Why didn’t you say it when I fed you just now? If your face was scalded, wouldn’t you become an ugly duckling?”
Kristen thought, “Damn you ugly duckling.”
Kristen was already used to his words out of season.
