The whole room’s breath got taken away when a beautiful masked woman in a white and black dress descended the stairway. I looked like a Princess. No one would have told me otherwise.
I heard footsteps slowly approach me, every single Prince waiting to take my hand for my first dance. Suddenly, I took a sheet of fabric from my waist and threw it into the air, waving at the approaching Princes. While it fell onto me, instead of sticking around me, the fabric dropped to the floor just like magic, with no outline of me at all.
“Welcome all! I shall be your entertainment tonight. Be amazed at my illusions and tricks! Don’t take your eyes off of me for even a single second!” I blew a kiss out to the crowds as they remained amazed at how I had found my way up to the second floor.
People clapped, enjoying the surprise entertainment. I took out a parasol and jumped to everyone’s horror. However, their eyes widened in marvel as I slowly floated down until I found myself in the middle of the dance floor.
“I need a volunteer. Is someone willing to lend me their pockets for the night?~” An immediate burst of hands shot up, mostly of men. I smiled and then found my eyes on the King.
“Your Majesty? Would you be willing to lend me your pockets? I’m sorry if I’m being too forward.” He chuckled and smiled. “Sure, why not. That is if you can get close enough to me.”
The crowd started to chuckle at the King’s joke before I took a step towards him. I smiled and balled my hand. I then opened it and found inside of it a bunched up handkerchief.
“How impressive.” He said, unimpressed. I then put out my finger and slowly unfolded it to reveal his own handkerchief. His eyes went wide and he immediately searched his person to find that his handkerchief was missing from his pocket.
“My gosh…” People remained shocked but when they saw the royal crest embroidered on it, there was no denying it. It was the King’s handkerchief.
He started to clap and his subjects quickly ensued. I’m saying that this is illusion but it is anything but it. It’s simple transportation magic. As long as he has that stud that I asked Killian to plant on him, I’m able to steal anything on his person.
I proceeded with another few tricks, as entertaining as the next. I kept the nobles eyes on me all while Killian slipped out for 5 minutes. Five minutes was all he needed to carry out the plan I had told him to execute.
While your eyes are on me, Killian will be rushing to plant something in the eldest brothers room. Something incriminating, but not a lie. And then, all I need to do is point his Majesty’s guards in the right direction and then, we are set. One down, and many more to go. But it is progress… massive and entertaining progress!
