Amelia shut the door and fell on the soft mattress as soon as she returned to her room. She excused herself saying she was tired. His presence around her was making her heart slip in her rib cage and the thought of him was bringing a smile on her face causing tingles in her stomach. Amelia had no idea how she will be facing him in the future with her unsettled feelings for him. Sleep took over her thoughts and she drifted into a peaceful sleep only to be woken up by streaks of sunlight falling through the window. She heard birds chirping happily as if they were singing it was a new day. She sat on her bed and looked at wall clock. It was seven in the morning, she got down from her bed and went to take shower immediately; before going out of her room as she didn’t want him to see her morning face.
Satisfied with her hair and her dress, she walked out of the room. Before she stumbled upon him, she took short walk to capture the beauty of snowcapped mountains in day light. By the time Amelia returned, Adrian sat on the couch. What kind of a man would look handsome even while reading a newspaper, she wondered. Hearing her footsteps, he turned to her. “Shall we leave?” he asked her, and his gaze shifted away from her before she even answered to him. Amelia’s curved lips dropped into a straight line hearing his words. Why did his question made her chest ache?
After has a quick breakfast alone in the dinning room, while he was busy attending a call. Amelia and Adrian left the place after sometime. The ride from the cottage was filled with silence none of them uttered a word. She sat with a composed face and avoided to look at him though a huge part of her wanted to have a glance at him.
“Mr. Schneider,” she spoke in normality and cocked her head to look at him. “Could you please drop me at the site, Mr. Griffin said, I could come in the morning,” Amelia asked him to which Adrian agreed to her and dropped her at the site.
“Thankyou for dropping me,” she removed her seat belt to get down from the car but to her surprise, the man got down the car before her.
“Good morning, Mr. Schneider. Ms. Amelia,” Leonard Griffin walked towards them with a smile on his face. It wasn’t Adrian’s intention to alight from his car, but after seeing the man coming to greet Amelia, he had to get down from the car.
Though Leonard observed that Amelia wore the same dress which she wore the previous day with Adrian standing next to her, he didn’t dare speak a word to Amelia about the lunch. Amelia’s mind was occupied since morning due to which she didn’t even think what would people might understand when they see her in the same dress with their boss. People will surely talk about it but Amelia had no clue what was on Leonard’s mind. Though Adrian could guess what Leonard was thinking when he saw her getting down from his car, he was least bothered about it. At least that way, he would stay away from her. Adrian waited until Amelia took her car keys from Leonard before leaving to his home.
On her way back home, Amelia could still feel tingles in her stomach when she thought about previous night. She didn’t want her feelings for him to develop, it would only make things difficult for her in furture. After thinking for numerous times, she decided to avoid him at any cost from the very moment.

Amelia was sitting opposite to Adrian, with her fingers linked with each other. She wasn’t the only one in the room. Adrian’s secretary, Cain Stewart, was standing a little away from her. She was grateful for his presence. It was the second time she met with his secretary because the man visits his boss only when it was necessary. Cain would inform Adrian’s schedule through a phone call or mail since he would handle work in Dublin; where Adrian’s head office resided. Amelia was grateful for Cain’s presence because it made her less nervous to face Adrian. It was five days ago when she decided to avoid him but the fact that she was still his employee had slipped out of her mind at that time. The thought of one glance at him was making her feet numb and she could hardly sit comfortably because she was aware of his glance at her from time to time through her peripheral vision. Unlike her, the man was unaffected of her presence. Amelia had no clue why was he making her sit and wait until he discussed with his secretary. What could there be a reason for him to call for her to meet him in the morning through his secretary? She had no clue about any of it.
“You can leave, Cain. If there’s anything, let me know.” Amelia’s eyes winded in shock when she heard him say. Was Cain leaving? She didn’t want to be alone with him, not when her thoughts were unsettled. It was too late, her eyes shut instantly, when she heard the door being closed by the secretary. They both were alone now.
“These are the files related to the new hotels. I want you to go through these designs,” he said, not giving any hint of emotions when she looked at him with much efforts. Seriously, this man lacked emotions or he must be good at hiding them. Amelia wanted to ask why did he want her to go through them, but she was in no position to ask him, all she could do was give a simple nod, take the file from his hand. She was ready to leave only to be stopped.
“You will sit here and go through them. I need it in two hours.” Amelia’s eyes winded at his words. “You can sit on the couch, if you want,” Adrian added. She didn’t speak to him because she knew her protests would go in futile. She got up from her seat only to be seated on a couch which was a little away from him and she was thankful that she wasn’t close to him. Amelia opened the file he gave her and completely avoided his presence in the room, so that she could complete her work as soon as possible and leave from here.
On the other hand, Adrian who was sitting at his desk, was looking at the girl instead of the papers on his desk. He stared at her as if she was a rarest diamond he has ever seen in his entire life and would never be satisfied no matter how many times he would look at her. He heard the door open with a creak sound which only irked him. Not only because of the sound but also because of someone’s presence in the room. If it was someone else, he would’ve sent them right away but the person was his cousin.
