Chapter 506
Liam rubbed his temples, thinking hard, but was only able to recall lying on a pile of money with Celeste. Everything in between
was just bits and pieces. His last memory was at the dinner table, picking up shrimp for Celeste.
Nicolas looked at Liam’s frowning face and said angrily, “I told you last night that you had her home, so why didn’t you do
something more grown–up?”
Liam glared at him, “Clean up your dirty thoughts. Not everyone’s like you, only thinking about that.”
Nicolas argued, “You’re so serious, yet you sleep with Celeste. You might as well become a monk. Do you want to get married or
not?”
Liam ignored him, “Marriage is for legally sleeping together. Do you think everyone is as Irresponsible as you?”
Nicolas snorted and hit back without mercy. “Now you don’t even have a marriage certificate.”
Liam fell silent.
Seeing Liam’s gloomy face, Nicolas tried to comfort him, “Last night Celeste was still willing to send you home. It seems like you
guys haven’t reached the breaking point yet. Think about what you did when you were drunk last night, and maybe if you act like
that, you might win her back.” Liam ignored him and called Owen.
Owen finally picked up Liam’s call.
Liam’s voice came through, “Owen, what’s going on with the money at home?”
“Mr. Reed, don’t you remember?”
“Remember what?”
“Last night you texted me to move a billion dollars to your house overnight, saying you wanted to surprise your wife.”
Liam fell silent.
Nicolas’s eyes widened. Was Liam planning to lure Celeste back with money?
“But I couldn’t get that much money out in the middle of the night, so I only got a little over a hundred million and had two boxes
of gold bars delivered.”
Liam rubbed his brow, completely unable to remember any of this. “Contact the bank and have them send a car to pick up this
stuff.”
Nicolas laughed, gasping for breath, “Your way of pursuing your ex–wife is really unique. Celeste would have a hard time coming
back to you. She doesn’t want you anymore, so why would she care about this money?”
Liam’s heart ached at the words, “She doesn’t want you anymore.” And he impatiently said, “Do you have anything to do? If not,
get out!”
“I’m the only friend you have left, and you’re telling me to leave? If I go, you’ll never get her back.” Nicolas said as he walked
away, but Liam held back his anger, “...Come back.”
Nicolas kept laughing, “You really can’t do it without me.”
Before he could finish, Liam threw a bag of trash at him, “Take it out and throw it away.”
Nicolas shrugged helplessly, thinking to himself, “it serves him right for not having a wife!”
Owen quickly brought the bank staff in to count the money.
Liam sat in the living room, looking at the piles of cash, and told Owen, “Deposit it into her card.”
Who is she? As an excellent secretary, Owen could naturally understand everything.
Llam thought for a moment and advised, “If she asks...”
‘Just say it’s Mr. Reed’s pocket money.” Owen immediately replied.
Liam’s brows instantly relaxed.
