Mrs. Kelley said, “I’m not really sure about that either, those two guys left as soon as they dropped you off at the hotel. By the
time my people got there, you were already drugged.”
Mrs. Kelley’s family used to run a hotel, so she’d seen all sorts of things.
Those two guys drugged Celeste, but didn’t do anything to her, probably planning to offer her up to someone for some kind of
benefit
And these sorts of people, they usually had some clout in society. Mrs. Kelley didn’t want to stick her nose where it didn’t belong,
and she didn’t want to stir the pot, afraid of pissing people off, so she didn’t voice her suspicions.
She said. “My dash cam probably caught their license plate. I can get you a copy if you need it”
Mrs. Kelley’s stance was crystal clear, Celeste snapped back to reality, asking, “I don’t quite get it, why are you choosing to team
up with me? You already have evidence of your husband’s infidelity, you could just divorce him, even get a bigger piece of the
pie.”
“Divorce?” Mrs Kelley chuckled, “He got to where he is today because I was pulling the strings behind the scenes. Why would I
give up the comfortable life I fought so hard for, just to let someone else rise to the top? I’d rather be a widow than get a divorce.”
Celeste was speechless. What was Mrs. Kelley thinking?
Did she just casually toss out the word “widow“? Didn’t she consider her an outsider at all?
Mrs Kelley said, “You’ve been wanting to find evidence of Skyler drugging you, right? I can help you with that. Skyler is hell–bent
on making Miss Clair her daughter–in–law, her plan last night failed, but she’ll definitely have other plans, I can be your mole,
keeping you updated on her movements. Skyler’s tactics are way more intricate than you think, and you wouldn’t stand a
chance”
Celeste went silent for a while, then asked, “What do you want in return?
Mrs. Kelley said, “I can handle my own enemies, but I might need Mr. Reed’s help from time to time, hope you can put in a good
word for me
Celeste chuckled, “Your targets are not just your husband, but also Skyler, right? Why do you think Liam would listen to me, to
help you out? We’re already divorced.”

“He ratted out the Barlow family’s production line for you, he kicked Skyler out of the Reed family for you.” Mrs. Kelley paused,
“We’re both adults here, no need to play dumb. You and Liam had a good time last night, didn’t you? I didn’t give Liam any
heavy–duty drugs, if he wasn’t willing. nothing would’ve happened between you two, right?
Celeste would really like to “thank” her!
Celeste was still on guard with Mrs Kelley. But having a mole close to Skyler was a good thing. If Skyler’s plan worked just once,
no matter how understanding she was, she wouldn’t be able to accept the betrayal.
After thinking for a while, Celeste said, “I’ll put in a good word for you, but whether Liam will help or not, I can’t guarantee that.”
