James’ brows furrowed deeply after reading the history engraved on the stone tablet.
He had little knowledge of the history of this age. It was only now that he learned a couple of things.
James turned to his three companions and asked. “Do any of you know about this period in history?”
They shook their head in response.
Mia replied. “The only thing I know is how the Holy Master of Nothingness’ malicious thoughts took a living form. There are also
myths that the Holy Master of Nothingness died alongside this evil incarnate. When the Macrocosm Ancestral God died, his good
fortune spread throughout the universe. Eventually, Hadad rose up to become our universe's new Macrocosm Ancestral God.”
It was the first time she had heard about the detailed history recorded on the stone tablet. There were no detailed records of the
events in ancient books. Only a vague description of what happened was recorded.
James was surprised by Mia’s words. He asked. “So that means only one Macrocosm Ancestral God can exist in our universe?”
Mia nodded and said, “That’s more or less correct. A Macrocosm Ancestral God embodies the luck of the entire universe. Thus,
it’s almost impossible for another powerhouse to become a Macrocosm Ancestral God. This is something commonly known
throughout the universe.”
“Is that so?” James did not take her words seriously.
If that were really true, how could Radomir become Macrocosm Ancestral God while Hadad was still alive?
Radomir rebelled only after becoming a Macrocosm Ancestral God.
James roughly knew why Radomir revolted against Hadad.
Hadad was not a progressive leader and refused to train new powerhouses. Although they lived within the Twelfth Universe,
many other universes existed.
To protect themselves against other universes, Radomir overthrew Hadad.
Mia did not continue elaborating, but instead asked. “What else is recorded on the stone tablet?”
James continued to read. “It records how the Age of Destruction came to be and how the Dark Lotus Demonic Ancestral Master
imprisoned the Holy Master of Nothingness. It said he took over Mount Nothingness, and usurped the position of Lord of the
Universe. Lastly, it...”
James’ expression became solemn as he read on.
“What’s wrong, Mr. Caden?” asked Hadrian.
James took a deep breath.
“It also has records of the Dark Strife.”
The three companions were confused.
Mia asked. “What’s the Dark Strife?”
James explained. “The Dark Strife is an event related to the Dark World. In the past, chaos broke out in the Dark World, affecting
the entire universe. Ultimately, it led to the collapse of the universe. Only a few powerhouses were fortunate enough to escape
death. The Holy Master of Nothingness and Dark Lotus Demonic Ancestral Master died in this turmoil.”
“The Dark World?”
The three were startled by his explanation.
As Quasi Ancestral Gods, they knew about the Dark World but only held scant knowledge.
“The Dark Strife? What caused it?”
James shook his head and said, “Not much is described about it. All that’s recorded is a chaos would break out after a certain
period in the Dark World and this in turn would affect the Illuminated World.
“If the Illuminated World is strong enough, it could avoid the Dark Strife. If not, it’ll end up getting destroyed.
“Assumingly, the age where the Dark Lotus Demonic Ancestral Master ruled was too weak, and it led to the destruction of their
age.”
“Huff!” All three of them gasped in horror.
They never expected so many events to have happened in the distant past.
