Chapter 1046
“Mommy, I’ll stop after this one.” Elowen cooed, her voice as sweet as the cherry atop her sundae. She playfully stuck out her
little pink tongue, licking the whipped cream that graced her ice cream.
“Mommy, I don’t want to go to bed yet. I want to play with the airplane.” Dorian tugged at Thalassa’s pants. His tiny finger was
pointing at a large model plane displayed on a stand in the living room.
“That’s not a toy, sweetheart. It’s a model, and it’s not for playing,” Thalassa gently tried to discourage Dorian’s request.
Even though Callum had allowed them to stay in his mansion, it didn’t mean they could treat it as their own. They had to be
careful with the belongings inside, Breaking something would be a nightmare to explain.
Callum caught on to Thalassa’s hesitation. A warm, reassuring smile spread across his face as he said, “It’s alright, let him play.
The model’s just collecting dust anyway. It’s not often it catches someone’s eye.”
“Mommy, can I really play with it?” Despite Callum’s permission, Dorian still sought his mother’s approval before daring to touch
the model.
Thalassa looked down at Dorian. His big, hopeful eyes were brimming with the pure desire to explore and play.
How could she say no and watch his little heart break?
She couldn’t bear it, so she stroked Dorian’s hair and said gently, “Go ahead, but be careful
not to break it.”
“Yeah, okay! Thanks, Mommy! thanks, Callum!” Dorian’s eyes sparkled with excitement. After expressing his gratitude, he
dashed towards the model, carefully touching its wings and fuselage.
Thalassa’s lips curved into a smile as she watched Dorian’s elated exploration. Her gaze lifted to meet Callum’s kind eyes, his
demeanor always so approachable and comforting,
without any pressure.
“Mr. Gordon, you should get some rest. You’ve had a long night, and you must be tired.” Thalassa suggested.
Callum’s smile took on a teasing edge. “I’ve told you, please just call me Callum. No need for formalities.”
Thalassa felt a bit embarrassed being corrected on the name, but she didn’t want to let Callum down. With a shy voice, she
relented, “Callum, please go have a rest.”
“Alright, I’ll be in the downstairs bedroom if you need anything. You and the kids should

get some rest too.” Callum said with genuine concern.
“Sure.” Thalassa nodded.
As Callum started towards his room, a sudden, thunderous sound of a plane descending startled everyone.
Callum stopped in his tracks, his face tightening as he looked outside.
Thalassa’s heart sank at the noise, her nerves on edge as she peered through the doorway.
A sleek, black plane had touched down in the yard. Its rotors were whipping the surrounding trees and tall grass into a frenzy.
Thalassa’s newly found peace was shattered. Her breath was caught in her throat, and
her limbs stiffened with tension.
Callum, foo, remained still. He frowned.
Were they already here?
The plane’s door swung open, and a pair of polished leather shoes stepped out, their
shine a stark contrast to the dirt and grass.
Following those shoes, Lysander emerged, tall and imposing, with a commanding presence. His handsome face was set in a
cold, unyielding expression, his aura both intimidating and unapproachable. He strode toward the villa, flanked by several
bodyguards who had also disembarked.
Lysander had arrived.
