The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 732
“Thalassa, you’re back.” The front desk lady at the Sinclair Group warmly greeted her.
Thalassa responded with a smile. “Yes, I am here on behalf of the Crawley Group to discuss a collaboration with Mr. Sinclair.
Could you please give him a call?”
She was always polite to the front desk lady.
“I’m sorry, Thalassa.” The woman apologized. “Mr. Sinclair has left instructions that you’re not to be allowed in. I don’t think I can
even announce your arrival.”
An hour ago, she received an email stating that Thalassa was not allowed to enter their offices.
The front desk lady was puzzled. Why the sudden order?
An hour later, Thalassa was here.
It seemed like Mr. Sinclair had anticipated her arrival.
Thalassa’s smile faltered. She had been wondering what would happen when she met Lysander, but she hadn’t expected to be
turned away at the door.
She glanced at the clock, regained her smile, and said, “It’s okay. I can wait downstairs.”
Lysander would have to leave at some point since it was only an hour from lunchtime, right?
The front desk lady kindly reminded her. “Mr. Sinclair left the office half an hour ago. He’s not in.”
So, waiting here was futile.
“Where did he go?” Thalassa asked.
The front desk lady shook her head. “I don’t know Mr. Sinclair’s schedule. Maybe you could call David.”
Thalassa gave her an awkward smile.
David probably wouldn’t take her calls now.

She screwed him over twice. He must be resentful towards her by now.
“Well, if it isn’t Thalassa.” A taunting female voice rang out. “From a cleaner to Mr. Sinclair’s secretary, huh? Those who sleep
their way to the top never last long. Weren’t you fired by the Sinclair Group?”
Thalassa looked in the direction of the voice and saw Daryl approaching with a mop, coming to clean the floor at her feet.
“Excuse me, this floor is dirty.” Thalassa stepped back, and Daryl followed her foot with the mop. “Honestly, I just cleaned this
place, and then people dirty it again.”
She was being purposefully mean.
Thalassa felt uncomfortable and stepped on her mop.
“What are you doing?” Daryl asked, trying to pull her mop free.
“You’re looking down on me. I want you to look up and see who’s higher. The person or the dog?” Thalassa said while looking at
her sharply.
“Are you insulting me?” Daryl was furious.
“Did I insult you? Is it my fault that you think you’re a dog?” Thalassa retorted.
The front desk lady couldn’t help but laugh.
Thalassa had a knack for putting people in their place.
“You...” Daryl was fuming. She took a few deep breaths and gritted her teeth. “You used to be by Mr. Sinclair’s side and enjoyed
his favor. Who are you serving now? You have the audacity to approach Mr. Sinclair again?! Do you think he’ll take back an old
flame?”
With that, she yanked the mop from under Thalassa’s foot.
Thalassa, annoyed, released the mop suddenly.
“Ah!” Daryl lost her balance and fell backward onto her rear end, making a thud as she hit the floor and grimacing in pain.
The front desk lady covered her mouth as she winced in sympathy.

Thalassa gave Daryl a disdainful glance and walked away.
Ever since Charlotte treated Daryl to sushi, she had changed. She harbored deep animosity towards Thalassa, and she grew
increasingly disrespectful with their each encounter.
It’s true that you become who you hang around with.
But she failed to realize her place. Charlotte was jealous because she was the fiancée chosen by the Sinclair family for
Lysander.
Charlotte had the right and the status to feel resentment and jealousy.
