The Charismatic Charlie Wade

Charlie snorted and waved his hand dismissively, “Forget it... Forget it... Miss Joules is very busy, so don’t bother her with such
a trivial matter.”
Charlie was deliberately refusing, showing weakness to Matthew on purpose.
He knew this type of person very well, as soon as they felt like they had won decisively, they would be willing to bet any chips.
This move was known as “luring the enemy deep”.
As expected, as soon as Matthew heard Charlie say “forget it”, he became excited and said solemnly, “Sir, Miss Joules is here
now.
If she really is your client, you should go talk to her.
It’s only natural to say hello to one of my bosses, so it’s not an interruption.
Why don’t we go over together?”
But Charlie waved his hand and said, “Forget it.
If you want to say hello, you can go yourself.
I won’t be going.”
Matthew became even more convinced that Charlie was bluffing, so he snorted and said, “If that’s the case, then I’ll go over and
say hello to Miss Joules.”
He then looked at Emily and said, “Emily, you stay here with Ms.Wilson and her husband.”
Emily immediately understood that the boss wanted her to keep an eye on Charlie and not let him run away.
She smiled and replied, “Don’t worry, Chairman.
I will definitely accompany them both.”
“Okay.” Matthew smiled proudly and then turned and walked towards Michaela.

He approached her quickly, stretched out his hand from a distance and made a gesture of wanting to shake hands, saying
respectfully, “Miss Joules! I didn’t expect you to be here! It’s really a surprise!”
Michaela was originally looking for Charlie and Claire, but was surprised when a stranger approached her.
She asked, “Excuse me, who are you? Do we know each other?”
Matthew quickly replied, “Miss Joules, I am Matthew Peterson, the chairman of AECOM.
Chimelong Capital, of which you are a part, is the largest shareholder of our company, but you haven’t come to our company for
an inspection yet.”
Michaela frowned slightly, but then remembered something and said, “I saw your company’s name in Chimelong Capital’s
financial report.
It seems that your recent stock price trend is good? I remember Chimelong Capital invested in yours and there is still a floating
profit.”
“Yes, yes!” Matthew nodded quickly and courteously.
“Your investment director has a very good vision.
They invested in us when our stock price was at its lowest, in September of last year.
Since then, our stock price has risen by nearly 30%.”
Michaela nodded slightly and said politely, “It’s good to see that your stock price has risen.
It’s likely that your business is doing well, and I hope you continue to work hard in the future.”
“That’s true!” Matthew said flatteringly.
He then glanced at Charlie’s back, not far away, and deliberately smiled and said, “Oh, by the way, Miss Joules, just now a friend
mentioned that you are his client.
Would you like to come over and have a chat?”
“He said I was his client?” Michaela asked curiously.

“Who is it?”
Matthew immediately pointed to Charlie, who was not far away, and said with a smile, “That’s the gentleman over there.
He said he’s a Feng Shui master and that you are one of his clients, Miss Joules.
Do you know him?”
Michaela saw Charlie’s back and immediately recognized him.
She was initially overjoyed, but then couldn’t help but frown as she thought to herself, “Something about this Matthew’s tone
doesn’t seem quite right.
What he said earlier was normal enough, but why did he bother to ask in the end?”
“He doesn’t know Mr.
Wade? Could it be that he suspects Mr.
Wade is lying?”
