Afterward, Charlie returned to the hotel with Claire and Michaela.
The two women decided to have a drink in the hotel’s executive lounge and chatted for a while, so Charlie went back to the hotel
room alone to arrange tomorrow’s schedule.
He had asked Michaela to arrange for the Joules family’s private plane to fly to Canada tonight and tomorrow morning.
He then asked Don Albert and Isaac to take the Concorde from New York to Canada at dawn to receive Mrs.Lewis, Lisa and
Claudia to the airport and to arrange for them to take the plane arranged by Michaela and after that, Don Albert and Isaac would
take the Concorde directly back to Aurous Hill.
At that time, Michaela’s plane would carry Mrs.Lewis and the three of them to New York, while Charlie would also take Claire and
his mother-in-law on the same plane in New York and return to Aurous Hill together.
Charlie called Elaine to confirm her recovery and let her know that he and Claire would be coming to pick her up in New York the
next morning.
Elaine was cheerful and said, “Hey good son-in-law, why are you calling me at this time?”
Charlie asked, “Mom, how is your recovery?”
Elaine laughed and replied, “Very good, very good.
I’m eating shark’s fin, abalone, wormwood, and sea cucumber.
I feel more powerful than soccer players.
The doctors here are very skilled too, and my leg is recovering quite well.”
Charlie said, “That’s great.
Claire finished her classes today, and we plan to check out in the morning and come to New York to pick you up.
Then we’ll all go back to Aurous Hill together.”
Elaine’s tone changed and she said, “Back to Aurous Hill? Good son-in-law, it’s not convenient for me to go back to Aurous Hill
yet.

My leg is still not fully recovered, and I don’t want to be a burden to you.
Why don’t you and Claire go back first, and I’ll stay here a few more days to recuperate.
I’ll return once I’m fully healed.”
Charlie was helpless for a while.
He was willing to let her stay in the United States, but Claire still did not know about her mother’s hospitalization.
If this matter had been delayed, Claire would certainly be suspicious, then she might be worried.
So, the best solution was to let Elaine go back with her.
If Claire saw Elaine limping again tomorrow, she could say that she accidentally fell on her leg while hanging out with her friends,

So, Charlie said with some difficulty, “Mom, staying in the hospital is not as comfortable as coming home, besides, you are not
familiar with New York, it is certainly not much fun to be alone, after you go back you still want to eat these mountainous and
seafood, I will arrange it for you every day, it will certainly not be worse than eating in the hospital.”
Elaine was secretly thinking to herself while feasting on the hospital bed, “Even though I get good food and drink here, and
someone to serve me, there’s not much meaning to staying here every day except for the ward and the garden area
downstairs...”
“If I go back, I can sell the necklace that Charlie gave me and get some cash to spend.
Going around every day won’t be too painful.”

Charlie smiled and instructed Elaine, “Mom, if Claire sees your leg tomorrow, say that you accidentally fell while playing with your

Elaine agreed and said, “Okay, okay.
You don’t have to worry about me.
I can’t tell Claire the truth.

Elaine asked, “What time should I go to the airport tomorrow?”
Charlie replied, “We’re checking out in the morning and returning the car, so we’ll probably be done by noon.
You can go to the airport after lunch at the hospital.”
Elaine asked, “What time is the flight?”
Charlie chuckled, “We’re not taking a civilian airliner.
We’re taking a client’s private plane.”
Elaine was surprised and said, “Another private plane? I’ve had my fill of private jets during this trip to the US.”
Charlie said, “We’ll meet you at the airport tomorrow after lunch at the hospital in the VIP building.
Claire and I will wait for you there.”
