Chapter 2648
"Jayden, can't you be a little more composed and stop fussing?" Caleb shot Jayden a displeased look.
"Dad, I'm just telling the truth. Hugh is just a vice president. Who's he to keep us all waiting here for him?” Jayden paused and
turned to the others." Elder Daglesh, Elder Rathbournes, forgive me for being blunt. You're all influential figures. Even if the
chairman, Leon, is here, he has no right to keep you all waiting. Hugh's just the vice president, yet you all let go of your pride to
wait for him here. Don't you think it's a little foolish?" Jayden said frankly.
"Well," Elder Daglesh and Elder Rathbournes were instantly rendered speechless.
Though they were waiting here voluntarily and Hugh had no part in it, what Jayden said made sense.
Hugh was just the vice president of Cynthion Group and was not the chairman.
He was not qualified to have all these powerful figures waiting here for him.
They realized that this was far too flattering for someone of Hugh's status. After waiting for so long, Hugh was nowhere to be
seen and they could not help wavering.
"Mister Morrison, what do you think we should do, then?" Elder Rathbournes asked.
"It's simple. Though the alchemical pills produced by Cynthion Group are indeed powerful, they are just outsiders here with no
connections or influence. If they want to expand into the western region, they would need to work with one of US. If we all fought
for a chance to work with him, he would get smug and lower the profit rate to the bare minimum. If that's the
case, we might as well all leave. No one should approach Hugh. He will then be left with no choice but to come begging. That
way, we can assume a more assertive role and obtain more profit," Jayden said.
"Well, that's true," Those who were already wavering started to cave.
They all lived for profit and that was precisely why they all came to fight for a chance to work with Cynthion Gorup.
If they accepted Jayden's advice and got Hugh to come begging instead, they would certainly be able to obtain more profit.
This was naturally what they all wanted.
"How about this? Let's set the profit division to fifty-fifty. No one should compromise. So long as we all stand by the same
condition, Hugh will have no choice but to accept it. Who he chooses to work with in the end will be left for fate to decide,"
Jayden added.
He and the Morrisons only delayed accepting the partnership with Cynthion Group because the profit division proposed by Hugh
was far from ideal.
Though Caleb and the elders already caved to Hugh's proposal, Jayden was still reluctant to accept it. Hence, he tried to
convince the others to set a unified condition of an equal division of profit.
He wanted to know if Hugh would have a choice then.
