The Guardian's Sword

The city defense soldiers immediately stood at attention and saluted when they
saw Sean.

Lionel, Solomon, and Nathan also lowered their heads slightly. Although arrogant
and haughty, they dared not behave haughtily in front of Sean.

"What's going on here?" Sean already knew what had happened, but he asked
anyway.

The city defense soldiers immediately reported loudly, "Commander-in-chief,
these three young gentlemen aren't holding their own invitations. It's their
father's. Also, they brought too many bodyguards, which doesn't meet the
requirements stated on our invitation. So I stopped them, but they unexpectedly
refused to leave and are still causing trouble here!"

Hearing this, Lionel hurried up to Sean, forced a smile, and said, "Commander
Lennon, your men are too incompetent. The rules are dead, but people aren't! It's
true that my father and Young Master Lambert's father couldn't attend your gala
as they have something to do. That's why our fathers asked us to come to make
amends to not lose decorum."

"Yes, yes, Commander Lennon, we sincerely came to attend your gala. You can't
kick us out for such a small issue!" Solomon came over and said with a chuckle.
Nathan also said the same. "Commander Lennon, the three of us come to the
fundraising gala on our father's orders. Though the invitations aren't for us, we
can represent our fathers. What's the problem with that?"

What was the problem?

It was a huge problem!

It was all right if they sincerely attended the fundraising gala to give their support.
However, Sean could easily figure out what they were up to!

The Walker family, the Stewart family, and the Lambert family must have allied
against them.

The three heirs were not here for the fundraising gala tonight. They were not
here for donations but to cause trouble!

Sean turned around, looked coldly at Lionel, Solomon, and Nathan, and scolded
him unceremoniously, "My soldiers sent the invitations to your fathers, and it was
written on the invitations that they did not have to attend if they had something to
do. If your fathers are busy, don't come. Why did they send you here to make
trouble?"

Lionel, Solomon, and Nathan's expressions instantly turned ghastly when they
heard this.

They did not expect Sean to show no respect and scold the three of them in front
of so many people.

So what if he's the commander-in-chief?

Does he have the balls to take on the top three families?

Lionel was furious and ready to lose his temper on the spot.

However, Sean said before he could say anything, "Also, the invitation clearly
states that you can only bring one guest. Not only did you show up, you brought
so many bodyguards with you. What's the difference between you doing this and
making a scene?"

"Even the mayor of Dorodo, Quentin, followed the rules by attending the gala
without any bodyguards. He only brought his daughter Shania with him. Do you
think your status is more important than Mayor Lewis's? Do you think your lives
are more valuable than his?"

As Sean spoke, he pointed to Quentin and Shania standing at the back of the
crowd.

Hearing Sean's words, everyone turned to look in the direction of Sean's finger.
Then they saw the smiling Quentin and Shania standing next to him.
