The deputies following him also turned pale.

"Zander, capture these men too! Take them to the city defense army's main
camp! I want to interrogate them myself!"

"Yes!" With a wave of his hand, Zander led dozens of city defense soldiers to
arrest all of Dwayne's men and Dwayne.

The deputies were all on their knees screaming for mercy while Dwayne pulled
out a weapon around his waist.

"Don't you dare resist! If you resist, I will kill you right on the spot!"

Zander let out a roar that made Dwayne's hand tremble wildly as he held the
steel crossbow.

A few moments later, Dwayne dropped his steel crossbow, fell to his knees with a
thump, and gave a long sigh.

Night fell gradually.

The news of the capture of 24 deputies of the sheriff's department, Onyx, the
head of Onyx Dragon Gang, and more than 200 members of Onyx Dragon Gang,
was broadcasted on Dorodo's local TV station.

The civilians who saw this news got excited and cheered.

All hell broke loose in the mayor's residence.

Mayor Quentin was on the phone with Sean.

"Commander Lennon, why didn't you give me a heads-up about the arrest? Do
you know what a headache I have right now?" Quentin complained with a bitter
expression.

"The sheriff's department hid it from their higher-ups and colluded with Onyx! If
the city defense army doesn't catch them, who else can teach the sheriff's
department a lesson?" Sean said calmly.

"You should have given me a heads-up... The press is now in chaos..."

Quentin's helpless tone amused Shania, who was listening nearby.

Shania chimed in, "Dad, Commander Lennon caught those bad guys. It's a great
achievement. Instead of commending him, you blamed him. That's unreasonable!
If you stand with Commander Lennon on this issue, the press will praise you, and
Dorodo's citizens will respect you."

"I know. Don't interrupt!" Quentin glared at his daughter before adding,
"Commander Lennon, I support your decision and actions, but please be sure to
give me a heads-up if something like this happens again. I may as well clean up
your mess, but you must give me time to prepare something in advance to help
you clean it!"

"Okay, okay, I got it. I'll tell you in the future... I'll gather Onyx, the arrested
members of the sheriff's department, and Chief Sheriff Dwayne's evidence and
statements and send them to you. You'll make the final judgment, but I hope you
won't relent this time. Some things don't allow for any mercy!"

"Yes, I got it." Quentin said with a nod.

Three days later, Onyx and Dwayne were sentenced to death immediately and in
public.

The sheriffs who accompanied Dwayne to Onyx Dragon Hotel that day were all
sentenced to 10 years in prison, and Onyx’s 200-plus members who were
arrested were sentenced to 7 to 15 years.

Of course, Onyx Dragon Gang had more than 200 members, so plenty must
have escaped. However, now that the leader was captured and most of the Onyx
Dragon Gang members were arrested, those who escaped were despised by
everyone and could not do much.
