- Chapter 34 - I Don't Have to Explain to You
Seeing that she was awake, Leroy raised his head to look at her. He asked indifferently, “Are you feeling better?”
Reyna was in a daze. She remembered waking up at the scene of the fire and saw that it was Bentley who rescued her again.
Could it be her hallucination?
“Much better.”
“What’s wrong with you?” Leroy leaned over and asked.
“What do you mean?”
“I heard from Mikaela that you were overwhelmed by the fire. You kept screaming and wouldn’t leave. You just stood there.” His expression turned ugly as he said this. “Reyna, you’re not a handicapped. You could have run away, but why didn’t you?”
Reyna gripped the blanket tightly with one hand and glared at him, “It’s not your business.”
She lifted the blanket and wanted to get out of bed, but Leroy dragged her back with one hand.
“Reyna, don’t you have anything to explain to me?” Leroy’s expression turned much colder, and his voice became much deeper.
According to her understanding of him, this was the sign that he was about to lose his temper.
Reyna was calm. She looked into his black eyes and said, “You and I are just in a business relationship. You also said that you won’t care about my shit. So, I don’t have to explain to you.”
Leroy was used to being a big mouth and this was the first time he had experienced how it felt to shoot himself in the foot.
“Reyna, do you think I don’t know about your shit?” Leroy threw the knife into the tray and looked at her coldly and impatiently.
“Then why are you still asking?”
Reyna had just woken up and didn’t want to quarrel with him. She lay down again, turned her back at him and said, “I’m tired. I want a sleep. Leave.”
Leroy suppressed his anger. His gaze was sharp enough to make a hole on her body.
But no matter how furious he was, the woman just pretended to not have seen him and went against him.
After a while, he walked away, and the ward fell into silence again.
A cold treatment again.
However, Reyna did not feel anything. Her worry was that Leroy seemed to have known it was Bentley who saved her from the fire.
She was worried that Leroy would hurt Bentley.
After all, as such a ruthless man, there was nothing he wouldn’t do.
Reyna wanted to break her relationship with Bentley, but somehow, they seemed to have returned to the past.

In the fire, the woman died of gas poisoning along with the man. The fire was big, but fortunately, the firefighters came in time, quickly put it out and prevented further damage.
Although she fainted in the fire, she did not see Bentley when she woke up.
But she could confirm that it was indeed him who saved her regardless of the danger.
As for her and Leroy, it was only about physical needs. If she got off that bed, anything could break their relationship.
A week later, Reyna was discharged from the hospital. When she was in the hospital, Lance was very worried about her. For a week, he had been coming and going between school and hospital, and he had lost a lot of weight.
Reyna felt sorry for him. It happened that he was free after class, Reyna decided to buy some pig ribs and cook some soup for him after work.
She opened the door with the key and said, “Lance, I’m back.”
“You’re back?”
Reyna stood at the entrance and took off her shoes. She put on slippers and was about to enter when she saw Bentley.
She was shocked, and only when she heard Lance’s voice did she come to herself as if she had just woken up from a dream.
“Bentley, why are you here?”
Lance was practicing the piano with Bentley by his side. Lance seemed to be in a good mood, and he had a smiley face all the time.
“Sister, Bentley came to teach me piano.” Lance’s joyous voice rang out.
Bentley caressed his head and smiled gently. “You are better at playing the piano than I am. You are the one who taught me.”
What Bentley said was true. In college, Bentley studied interior design like Reyna. He learned a little about piano when he was young and was no match for a professional like Lance.
“Reyna, why are you home so late? Do you have a heavy workload?” Bentley walked over and took the ingredients from her hands and asked.
Such a Bentley brought Reyna back to the past, but it was like a dream to her.
