Something is not right…
No it cannot be possible.
How could this happen? How could I not know it until now?
Is it my fault for being a coward and not asking the probabilities a simple question that will conclude it all?
I scanned through all the files that was sent to me and as I scrolled down slowly, my tears started flow down.
My heart skipped a beat when the telephone ring again and when I answered it, the same caller from a while ago speaks to me.
“I forgot to include an important thing along with files I sent you in the email. Though I think it will be more suitable if I sent it to you directly so you can see it properly. I sent my assistant to deliver the paper to you so just wait for a bit.”
As he hang up, I heard someone knocking at my office and when I opened it, it was the guy who was sent to do the delivery.
He handed me a small envelope, the type that is used for letters and he just left afterwards and leaving me in silence as I hold the envelope.
I don’t want to look at it… I am afraid that it will contain something more heart breaking that what I have already seen but I have no choice but to look at it and read it slowly.
The paper that came out was a handwritten letter.
The handwriting is fairly familiar, the same way I can remember a long time ago.
I carefully started reading what was written even though I know that it will only shatter the pieces of my heart that I am still trying to mend up until now.
….
I fell into my knees when I have finished reading everything that was written in the letter.
How could this happen to me. It’s all my fault. It’s all my fault.
The paper falls down on the floor as I lose the strength in my hands to even hold it.
I turned off my laptop before I started dashing out of my clinic to go to the place mentioned in the letter as if I was out of my mind.
(Probabilities of having a Heartbreak : 97%)
I don’t care anymore! All I need now is a full answer to all my questions, to all my whys and my whats.
I hate this, I hate this probabilities! If only I can forget everything, if only I can exchange this power into something better, something that will make all the tragedies that happened in my life to disappear.
When I opened the last door towards the exit of my clinic, Kazuya was there also opening the door to enter.
Our eyes met and I can tell that he was surprised to see me like this and so I turned away and talk fast before continuing to run away. “Please take care of the clinic for a while. I’ll be back later.”
