My Rich Hot and Infertile or Maybe Not Husband

Chapter 916
Liam suddenly turned alert, “What’s this guy like?”
“He’s a short dude. I’d guess he’s in his 40s or 50s. Didn’t get a good look at his face, he was all masked up and wearing a hat.
His eyes, though, had some wrinkles around them.
He said he was here to donate but kept asking about Aunt Caitlyn and Letti. Looked kinda sad when he found out that Aunt
Caitlyn had passed away. He then donated a hefty chunk of change and asked the head about Aunt Caitlyn’s grave before
leaving. Had the vibe like he knew Aunt Caitlyn, but denied it when asked.”
Liam frowned, a short middle–aged man?
He mulled it over for a while but came up empty.
“Did he say anything else?”
Sean thought for a moment, “Nothing else. He just looked at some pictures of Aunt Caitlyn and Letti. Said he’d come back in a
bit.”
Liam paused, a thought crossed his mind. Could it be Letti’s biological father?
While he was deep in thought, Celeste’s voice echoed from afar, “Come help us, we’re swamped!”
Liam snapped back to reality, gently patted on Sean’s arm and said calmly, “Let’s go lend a hand.”
Celeste was playing Santa, promising gifts to the kids for a good performance. They were shy at first, but soon, they were
hamming it up on stage. Liam watched Celeste’s awkward performance, her denials even as the kids called her out. A smile
tugged at his lips.
“Mr. Reed.”
The head’s voice came from the side
Liam turned to see the head holding a glass of wine and smiling kindly at him, “May I propose a toast?”
Liam hurriedly took the glass. “You’re my elder, I should be the one to toast you you.”

The head shook his head, “Without you, I couldn’t have kept this place running.”
Liam was taken aback, then he smiled. The head may be old, but he’s no fool. Who else in J City could make such a massive
anonymous donation than someone connected to Celeste?
He didn’t say anything, just took the glass.
The head clinked glasses with him, “Cheers.”
He downed his glass in one go.
Liam didn’t really want to drink, he knew his limits. He didn’t want to miss out on time with Letti because he was drunk. But it
would be disrespectful not to match the head’s toast. With that thought, he downed his glass too.
The head refilled his glass. This one’s on behalf of Caitlyn.”
Liam paused, guilt washing over him. He hadn’t really helped much with Caitlyn’s funeral, his negligence had left Letti in a lurch.
I... I don’t deserve it.”
*You’ve taken good care of Celeste. She had hardly smiled in the two years since losing her mother. Even her occasional smiles
were filled with sadness. Since she’s married to you, she’s started to smile again. I believe Caitlyn’s greatest wish was for
Celeste to have a good husband and a good life, unlike her own unfortunate experiences.”
Liam didn’t say anything, just downed his glass
The head matched him, then refilled his glass, “This third one, it’s about a secret concerning Celeste. Can I ask you for a favor?”
Liam tensed, “Go ahead.”
