Aria regretted it slightly after hearing Sean's words. It was because Sean was
telling the truth.
When they first met at Dorodo's downtown mall, Sean could say he had no
animosity with Aria.
They had never met before. However, just because she wanted to steal the show
from Shania, Aria ordered Lowich to attack and teach Sean a lesson, which
resulted in Sean beating Lowich with one move and humiliating her.
As a result, the two had bad blood with each other. No matter what, it was only a
small matter and a dispute caused by personal feelings.
Moreover, Aria learned Sean's identity later and that he was not a mere
bodyguard but the commander-in- chief of Dorodo's city defense army. He's one
of Dorodo's two leaders.
Even so, Aria did not care about Sean. She even was indifferent to him. Then at
Mr. Royce's perfume store in Crosac, Aria forced Lowich to fight Sean to
overpower Lisha.
This time, Lowich was prepared. He gave his best. Unfortunately, Lowich was still
no match for Sean, and Sean beat him until he could not fight back.
Aria was greatly humiliated because of that. She hated Sean from then on. She
even secretly vowed revenge.
In retrospect, even Aria found herself too emotional. She only looked for
immediate pleasure and acted on impulse, so she failed repeatedly and pushed
Sean to be her opponent and to her sister, Lisha's side.
If Aria could go back in time, she would never do such a stupid thing.
However, there were not many what-ifs in this world.
What happened had happened and could not be changed, so Aria decided to
continue with her plan.
She coughed, stared at Sean, and asked, "Enough of nonsense. I'm asking
whether you would work for me. I can make you my bodyguard!”
With that said, Aria looked at Sean expectantly, waiting for his answer.
Aria knew very well what Sean was capable of. Lowich was already strong in
Crosac. He had not had a rival in Crosac in years. However, the strong Lowich
was like a helpless child in front of Sean.
Was that not enough to explain how strong Sean was?
Therefore, Aria was eager to have a subordinate like Sean. However, Sean
laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" Aria asked exasperatedly.
"Ms. Aria, have you forgotten something? I'm the commander-in-chief of Dorodo’s
city defense army after all. How can I possibly be your bodyguard? When this
matter between you and Lisha is settled, I will return to Dorodo with the
diplomatic convoy. It's impossible even if I want to be your bodyguard.”
Sean's words made Aria furious at being laughed at. However, she took a deep
breath.
Instead of losing her temper, she asked, "Fine, let me put it another way. Will you
join me? If you agree, I promise I will never go against you, and I will be friendly
to Dorodo after I become the mayor of Crosac!”
Aria exclaimed, beaming a confident smile once she finished speaking.
